Personal and friendly service, attention to details, excellent food and the tea onsen is wonderful. We stayed here as part of a tea study tour and enjoyed it fully. The Kaiseki meal was very nice. I will definitely stay here again next time.

It was a fantastic experience. I stayed in a western style room on the second floor with a view of the pond, which provided a very relaxing atmosphere and background. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was very polite, helpful and generous. The onsen was great, especially the outdoor tea bath. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. I would stay at this ryokan again if I went back to Ureshino. I give this ryokan my highest recommendation.

I traveled to this Onsen in January 2018 in a group of 10, after this being 4 of our's first ever trip to Japan, the Onsen staff offered us a warm welcome and a true insight into Japanese culture. From the bus station the Onsen was simple to navigate to, and it offered us the chance to hike around Ureshino and to see different Onsens as well as the huge hills that surround Ureshino. The food at the Onsen was brilliant and they had some variety if the food wasn't to your preference. I would definitely recommend staying at this Onsen if you are in the Fukuoka area and are looking for a true Japanese experience.

My wife and I (and two other adult family members) stayed at Warakuen recently, in March on our vacation in Kyushu. The ryokan is a bit removed from the main Ureshino town and its limited attractions - but convenient mid-point between the main Nagasaki and Saga (pottery town) attractions. However, the ryokan is in a nice quiet area - well-maintained and clean. We enjoyed the two large and beautifully landscaped onsens - with local, green tea-spiked hot spring water. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and so was the staff service.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this hotel is!! We had a group of 6 and they were so accommodating with us. We requested 2 western style breakfasts and they went above and beyond to provide a really delicious meal. Dinner was a really amazing meal that included Saga beef, which was soooo good!! The green tea bath was fantastic and made me skin feel so soft!! Be sure to grab a green tea bag (they’re out by the green tea bath) and rub it in your skin. So great!! The staff was wonderful and everyone took such good care of us! We even got to pick out yukatas and the staff came to our room and dressed us so we could walk around and take pictures. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!
