Time flies, my birthday trip to Japan again! First night staying at Shioyu Naginoto! An amazing Ryokan in Karatsu which, I suggest, you must come to visit at least once in your lifetime! The room (I stayed at) is in Japanese style, big, clean and comfortable, with the sound of the sea waves, all your stress will be gone away! Weather is so good in November. Dinner was so great and delicious. A bar serving drinks free of charge was available from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. I also enjoyed the private family hot spring for 1 hour, which was also included in the Charges. Like x 100!
The woman who checked us in was amazing, but things went downhill from there. Biggest problem was that there was no internet access in our room so I could not do my work as planned. The hotel is aware and seems to think it is ok, but for me it’s a show stopper. Many hotels on this trip in much more remote locations all had WiFi. Room size and layout were great, view is terrific but this is not a natural hot spring. In all, many people might be happy with this hotel but we thought it was just ok( service, food, bathes), compared with other options in the area.
We changed our plan due to typhoon attacking Japan all the way from Okinawa to Hokkaido. Fukuoka is relatively safe from this typhoon. We take metro and JR from Fukuoka to Hamasaki in about 70mins. The hotel has coach pick us up. It is a Japanese style hotel with hot Spring. There is an hour private Spring for staying together with yr family. Very good. The dinner is traditional Japanese style with fresh cut staple and squid. The people there are very nice too. Worth to stay for relaxing.
Me and my husband really love this hotel, it is one of the best in our list so far. Right from the moment of check in, staff was so helpful and it was a shame that we cannot dine in the restaurant but the breakfast also brew our mind away. Our room is a garden view room with no bathroom. Ocean view will be better choice if u want the view. The Tatami was double size was very comfy. The onset was great (hot spring) they have the view of the ocean and was seawater. If you are a onset fan make sure you reserve the family bath as well, as you can have your own onsen with sauna. Staff was helpful to book a nearby sushi restaurant for us and they have different yugata to choose from as well and a small basket for us to take our belongings to onsen.
I went with my boyfriend to enjoy a traditional Japanese-style hotel including the Onsen experience. Shioyu naginoto exceeded our expectations and was a delightful experience. They have traditional yukatas you can wear and makes you feel part of the environment. We booked on advance ( it was one of the perks of being a guest in the hotel) the family onsen, a private bath, with sauna and a bed to relax after taking a long and well deserved bath. Usually, Japanese baths are either for men or women, but if you want to experience it with your family or as a couple, I recommend considering this option ( they also have public baths with incredible ocean view that you can use as well. We chose the all-inclusive meal plan ( dinner and breakfast) and they were worth every yen ( and even more), they even had a complimentary all-you-can-drink lounge that guests can use before or after dinner. Just amazing! I would like to recommend doing a sake taste ( which wasn't included) while enjoying your superb dinner. Breakfast was out of this world, a set of more than 20 little dishes for you to enjoy and try different flavors. The staff spoke perfect English and was so friendly, we received a free upgrade to an ocean-view room which made our stay even more perfect! I cannot say enough about our experience but highly recommend this hotel.…
