Nice basic hotel for a short stay in the area. very near the metro/train station, restaurants, bars etc. The staff is very nice and friendly. There's a cool, chill izakaya right next to the hotel with a very friendly owner. Free coffee in the hotel lobby and in hotel laundry (coin operated).
I was here for business and stayed at this hotel for 12 days straight. The receptionists are helpful and kind. They also serve free tea and coffee at the lobby. The room is good enough. Just enough space for yourself. It gets cleaned every other day so that means fresh towels and robe. There is free internet in the room (wired connection). It is conveniently located near the JR train station (10min walk) and especially to the Hankyu line which is only a 3 min walk! The hotel is also near a supermarket so instead of eating out all the time, you can buy some cheap food at the supermarket. Overall, I will stay again at this hotel if I am ever at Osaka again.
I ended up in Takatsuki city because everything in the Kyoto/Osaka area was booked out. Takatsuki is in the middle about 25 minutes to either Kyoto or Osaka. That made an easy trip, and an easy escape from the insanity of Kyoto station or Osaka city in peak season. The hotel is a business hotel, but a little better than many I've stayed in. At 7000 yen a night for a single it's a deal. Near the hotel are plenty of restaurants and Oxo, a large British-style sports pub. At about 2 blocks from Hankyu Takatsuki station and ten minutes walk from JR Takatsuki station it's an easy walk to the hotel. In a bind, or low on cash, I'd stay here again. Japanese speaking ability recommended.
