Stayed here over a long weekend with friends - it is not that easy to find onsen ryokan that can cater for babies - all the pre-arrival communications were perfectly executed and arranged (incl. a very nice baby cot), with a warm welcome upon our arrival at the property Rooms are extremely large, well set up and our personal private outdoor onsen was perfect. We also very much enjoyed the public bath which offered 3 types of onsen (2 indoor, 1 outdoor), very relaxing The cuisine was also delightful - we thoroughly enjoyed dinner and breakfast, both of which were included in our plan. Will definitely look to return in the future.

We stayed at this ryokan upon recommendation by a friend who visited Kyūshū before. Overall we love our stay. Entering the ryokan reminds me of the villas in Phuket or Danang. This is like the Japanese version of luxurious villa. We stayed at a separate house with beautiful semi open private Onsen. The view was awesome. The dinner was so so to us, partly because some of the fusion dishes aren’t really our cup of tea, but we must say we absolutely love the breakfast served by the hotel. The dining room was beautiful too with a good view of the area near the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious and nicely decorated with a western style. Would be even better if there can be electric socket near the bedside and boxed tissues like other Japanese hotels we visited, but these are merely nice to haves and not must haves anyway. Overall, we still love our room. Apart from the awesome private Onsen, the public Onsen is worth mentioning too. It was a luxury enjoying Onsen in a big bath with beautiful view of the Yufuin area. The public bath was very big, and there was a smaller pool for children. The amenities in the ladies room was good with a few separate tables for drying hair, applying skincare. There was also free iced bottled water for guests who finished using the bath. We would recommend people to try the public bath too. The staff here speak English too so there is no issue with communicating with the staff.

Everything about our stay at Yufuin Hanayoshi was excellent. I booked through the official website of the hotel and I wasn’t even asked for my credit card details as a guarantee for my booking. Before our arrival, the hotel as per my request called B-speak to reserve the famous P-roll. The hotel is on a hill with a spectacular view of Yufuin. Our villa 312 is one of the three villas (i.e. 311, 312 and 313) at the further end of the establishment. We needed to walk some more steps from our villa to the main building where the restaurant and public bath are located but at the same time we’d one of the best views. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the heated floor was definitely a nice touch. It’s very quiet at night so we slept well. When we didn’t want to go to the public bath, we used the in-room jacuzzi with hot springs water. Both dinner and breakfast were served at the same private room of the restaurant on the second floor. The quality of ingredients, presentation and taste of dishes were all good. We only stayed at Yufuin Hanayoshi for one night which was too short. An extra night would have been perfect.

I stayed for two nights at a villa with private hot spring. I booked inadvance thro hotel'official website. When we arrived at the hotel, staff welcome us and directed me to park my car at the parking slot. Hanayoshi is easy to locate Thro GPS but I suggest you drive to the Yufuin SA (Expressway resting area) first. Then you restart searching the GPS because Hanayoshi is located near the expressway exit and the GPS may make you confused that you have already arrived. My villa 503 was a good place where it was near the lobby and the dinning hall. At the reception, a staff who spoke fluent Chinese Putonghua served you and introduced all facilities, stay arrangement and the villa to you. Hassle free environment that my family enjoyed full range of Japanese hospitality. I do recommend this hotel to my friends.

I heard about this hotel from my friend and I almost lost of words when I enter the room. My suite is no 110 with a huge living room plus a two queen bed. I have to admitt Japanese are very thoughtful about all the details and amenties make your stay so wonderful. 90% of the floor were heated and I also have a massage chair & a facial steamer in the living room. Bathroom is big enough for two adult, one big tub in shower and half outdoor tub . The most incredible is the spacoius balcony with a foot tub, Dinner & breakfast were served in a private room and food was so delicate, the young Japanese was so friendly even she don't understand any English. The atmosphere around the hotel were so fresh and stunning cause it ;located up on the hill. Too bad I didn't try their public bath, I was totally enjoy staying in my room.
