Thank you for coming to our cottage. I’m so glad you got the experience to being in Japanese traditional Thatched roof house and enjoyed the staying even it was cold. And I’m really sorry about the coldness. Especially, traditional old house which has dirt floor in the house gets really cold in winter. However, thank you for the opinion. We will try to keep it warmer and also inside of bed for comfortable sleep. In addition, I appreciate your compliment of the foods. I enjoyed the cooking for hosting the customers with using plenty fresh ingredients of local products. You must have got the amazing power of Miyama’s mountain and eating in Japanese traditional house makes the taste better too. Thanks again for coming and hope see you sometime in the future! F&B Yaya

Staying at Miyama Futon and breakfast is without a doubt the highlight of our 15 days trip to Osaka & Kyoto! The Kaya Villa that we stayed in is surrounded by mountains. A river runs next to the villa. I love the tranquility, with mountain view all around and sounds of running

Thank you very much for your stay and your review. We are very glad that you had a good stay with us. Along the way of the cycling tour, you dropped by the cow shed. Milk offered for breakfast is a gift from that milk cow. It is our pleasure that you can find birds and animals' barks in a quiet sound-free world. Please come to Miyama someday again!

Beautiful place. As close as an original Japanese culture living you can get. Very well managed. Great working staff. One of my best stay overnight in japan. Awsome. 大変清潔で、スタッフの方々ももう前から知ってるような感じで居心地が良かったです。 自転車をお借りしてサイクリングもしましたし、蛍も見られましたし、花火もして大満足。 よーく寝られました。 どうもありがとうございました。

The place itself is quite big and private. We ordered the food, but if next time, we will bring something to cook and grill there. The Japanese style grill looks fancy. The con part is that the house is far away from the tourist place. The driver gave us a detour to the

Dear Yusa, Many thanks for your prompt reply. If we miss the free shuttle service back to JR Sonobe station, are there public buses that can take us to the station? Do these buses allow passengers to bring onboard their luggage? Thanks! Vincent

Hi Pauline, Sorry to let you know that we are not open in Jan and Feb due to snow, somtimes its fine and sometimes it comes down really deep and its very hard to get around. So there could be quite a bit of snow or none at all depending on the year. Other accomodation does operate though. There are a few places you can buy food outside but in winter I would recommend staying somewhere where the food is made in the lodging. This site has lots of info, in the top right corner you can select English although its google translate so its far from perfect. miyamanavi (do a google search) Thanks for your enquiry and please come again sometime. Sincerely Max Whittle
