In front of Amanohashidate station is very convenient place to stay for first time visiting this location. This hotel is part of Amanohashidate hotel so this hotel depend on some facilities, like big hot spring and breakfast dining. View from this French restaurant is best place to see this ocean side so we ate there two night. If you want to special course menu, please make reservation ahead of time. Good for couple. Rainy season, you have to walk out side to visit Amanohashidate hotel, this is only inconvenient things for us at that time.
I have booked a small double room with toilet inside. Renovation is done, the room is small but very convenient (near to the JR station and bus stop, some attractions are within walkable distance). I have enjoyed the hot spring in the hotel next to it, it is free of charge (unlimited visit) and the view is good. The breakfast and the dinner are good as well. The breakfast is buffet style with many varieties. The dinner is western style and the environment is nice (the restaurant have whole sea view and you can see the sunset when having the dinner). 👍🏻👍🏻 Cons: no lift or escalator
The hotel room is compact for 3 person & still has enough space to pray. I am muslim & happy with the room bcos i can pray properly with correct kiblat in the room. Also we can go to beautiful Onsen for free. This hotel has a very good view too. And near to the sand bar amanohashidate. I walked thru the sand bar around 3.4 km than went up with the chair lift to see the very good view in amanohashidate way.. Went back to the hotel by ferry and enjoy the bird along the way. PERFECT. But we have difficulty to find resto to have dinner at 7. They are close. Lucky we find convinience store so we still can fullfill our hungry stomach. Next day there is local festive and I enjoyed koto japan traditional music. I really enjoyed my one night escape time with my dear & lovely.
I booked a non smoking room, the front desk confirmed this when I checked in. But the room gave to me, there was smoking odour when I open the door, and there was an ashtray on the desk. Thought there is an air cleaner on the wall, but it can't clear the smoking odour. The quilt is very very very uncomfortable! These made me can't sleep for the whole night. The good point is, you can have a hot spring bath in the main building.
Dinner was good but lots of fish, use of onsen at next door Amanohashidate hotel was very nice but bring your hotel towels with you, breakfast also next door at Amanohashidate, the hotel is very dated, carpet needs to be replaced, rooms and beds are tiny. Photo is from restaurant for dinner.
