The villages around Kyoto are simlpy idyllic, but most of the inns are in dire need of renovation. This venue is not an exception. Rooms are extremely shabby with cigarette burns all over the upholstery, but the view is simply very nice. Here it was possible to host a small-sized symposium followed by a dinner reception. Everything went very well...

Visited Ayabe for family reasons last week and stayed 2 nights in this simple, but delightful hotel. The rooms are sparse, but tidy and clean and all you need for a good night's sleep. We visited during the after effects of a storm and the rivers were flooded and running quickly. We stayed on the top floor, level 5 and...
