I've been a number of times (and have tried other places at a similar level throughout Japan). Kayoutei beats them all. The food is superb (and plentiful!), the baths are hot and relaxing, the facility is lovely -- and quiet!. The staff are unfailingly friendly....More

We stayed here for one night, 10 mins drive from Kagoshima.. Pros: - Great breakfast and dinner - Clean room - Nice service - Great onsen view Cons: - No restuarants and convenient store nearby, must choose to eat in hotel
