There's no restaurant around the hotel. I enjoyed the great view from my room.
Salty hot spring was surprising but fun.

We travelled as an extended family group, so visiting various sites by taxi would have been prohibitively expensive and inconvenient. The hotel staff often took us around by hotel bus, which was a huge convenience and also gave us the pleasure of travelling together.

The onsen (natural hot springs) was clean and pleasant and had both indoor and outdoor areas. On the days we were there, we had a couple of rainy nights and sitting in the outdoor tubs, with the fog and rain, was sublime.

The rooms, too, were clean. The furnishings were Japanese, with tatami mats for flooring and futon for mattresses which we folded and put away every morning. Our rooms overlooked the East China Sea. The washroom was western-style with a regular toilet.

Some of my family stayed in rooms with regular western-style beds. These were spacious and had furnishings you would expect you a North American business hotel.

This is not the immaculate five-star accommodation that...
