We stopped in Sambommatsu for one night on our way to visit the Akame 48 waterfalls. Yukie is a lovely host who will welcome you with tea and biscuit and who will love to talk to you about Japanese culture. Although the B&B is only a 10 min walk from the train station, Yukie and her husband were so kind to us up by car, due to the rain and our heavy backpacks. The house is kept in great care and having a nice homemade breakfast sitting in the garden or in the living room while looking at the mountains is a plus. In hindsight I wish I could have had more days to spend in Yukie’s house cause it was the perfect refuge from the chaos of Golden Week in Japan. Definitely recommended!

We were delighted to be accommodated in a genuine Japanese house near to the Muro-Ji temple. Our stay was very comfortable, warm and relaxing. The view from the main dining/sitting space when the doors are open is incredible. Out host Yuki was very helpful and friendly. We were lucky to stay at such a peaceful spot. We also walked on a 6km hike to Muro Ji- which visiting early is without tourists. Recommended to anyone wanting to have a relaxed time.
