The whole complex in which the Westin is part of, is an architecturally very "different'. Either Tadao Endo is a brilliant architect who designed this complex irrespective of what it would take to maintain such a place OR he was plain drunk when he thought this place out. It is a design marvel but it is also showing signs of... More

The restaurant uses local ingredients in their menu (fish, onion, salt, blue berries). For PT member, one gets a coupon for buffet breakfast (worth about 1800yen) which can be used in other restaurant if you pay the difference. Coupon for one free drink provided for happy hour. there is a free shuttle bus to near by Ofuro (700yen) which has light up view... More

We stayed one night at the hotel. The check-in process was efficient and our room had a beautiful seaview as well as the view of the impressive structural design of the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. As the hotel has no 'onsen-type' spa, the hotel staff had kindly suggested us to take a 15-min drive to a nearby... More

With a few extra days after my business trip, decided to book a room a head over to somewhere different. Ended up booking a room here and hopped the bus over. Had a nice room with a great ocean view, had a memorable dinner at the teppanyaki restaurant, and walked along the flowers at yumebutai gardens. We even got to... More

The Westin is the best hotel at Awaji Island. Theres nothing much to do at this Island anyways. There is a beautiful suspension bridge that connects Kobe City to Awaji Island. They have Starbuck coffee on the Island too.

I came here with my friends because it designed by Ando Tadao, the famous Japanese architect. My friend booked a Japanese tatami room for us. The room was spacious with an ocean view and conference building. The bathroom was also splendid! Wooden bathtub and one big window, so we could enjoy the view while relaxing in the bathub. The wifi... More

Pros: -The rooms are large and have nice bright sea views (we were very lucky to have been upgraded to a corner suite with a jacuzzi and sauna!). -Rooms equipped with modern facilities -Efficient and quick front desk staff -Perfect location if you are interested in Ando Tadao architecture. We had not planned on visiting Awaji Island, but circumstances dictated otherwise and we put in on our trip. It was not a wasted side trip. The commute from Osaka to Yumebutai in Awaji was easy and they have the instructions on where and how to take the bus from Maiko JR station on the English website. The main attraction... More

Big rooms, beautiful gardens (indoor and outdoors), by the sea and quiet. I can imagine myself staying at Westin Awaji again if I am ever in Kobe (yes I will make that 30 mins journey from Kobe's downtown to be here!) Hotel standard is what you will expect from spg related names - excellent. Staff speaks decent English. Hotel dinner... More
