We come here maybe a couple of times a year. Couple of hour walks to all day for all abilities. Bewhere that some walks are strenuous. Some all access paths, advice motorised portable chair. Great for children, many picnic spots. Partialy Wooded, grasssed and fully Wooded areas. Restaurant. Honesty box for parking when we called

Bring your own duvet and some gaffa tape, it will improve the experience enormously! First thing we noticed was the postage stamp sized, thin duvet. Luckily we had our own normal size duvet. Mattresses needed replacing, you can feel the springs. We laid the tiny duvet on top like a mattress protector so it was more comfortable. With just that...

Arriving in Hindhead early for dinner with friends living nearby; we called in for a drink to kill time having driven out of London. The barman when asked which was his most hoppy beer, didn't have a clue what hops were. Meanwhile my wife used the loo to find no paper and the air drier broken. My pint was way...

Very reasonable price for a large spacious if somewhat dated room. No frills and perfect for a contractor out and about while away from home. Lovely bar and very decent food. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not to fussed about modern rooms.

A last minute family get together took us to Hindhead. A fantastic walk at Waggoners Wells left us with the question of where to eat. One of the party insisted on going for lunch here despite the often poor reviews. What a lovely surprise- the Carvery lunch was just delicious. Between us, we had all of the meats- tender and...

I booked tow people into this hotel over Christmas as we did not have sufficient space to put them up at home. Their room was dirty, the shower filthy and the pillows hard. My friend asked for the shower to be cleaned on each morning that he was there and no-one ever did a thing/ The place looks so run...

This hotel is in a great location next to the fabulous National Trust Devil's Punchbowl walk (which is well worth a visit - beautiful views, great dog walk and nice café). We met friends for a dog walk and I had called ahead to the hotel/bar to ask whether they accepted dogs in the bar area and was told yes...

when we arrived we were greeted by a nice man but then walking up the stairs, the carpet was old, dingy and tired...when we go to our room we noticed a noise coming from either the kitchen or boiler room...this carried on all night, a loud buzzing/vibration noise. The room...well...the wallpaper was hanging off the walls, mould around the shower...
