Gorgeous meal, homemade curry of the day and homemade pie. Great service , great price . Food was absolutely gorgeous, Good choice on the menu but would like to see lamb cofters with salad back on the menu. (Something lighter and healthier) The food is much improved since we last went about 8 months ago. We will definitely be back... More

Stayed here one night 18th June. Visiting the Ethiad stadium in Manchester for a concert. Check in was from 4pm but we arrived at 1 and checked straight in which was ideal. Room had all we wanted, double bed, TV, tea making etc and the en suite bathroom was spotlessly clean. Had a pint in bar when we got back... More

Myself and the wife stayed overnight after seeing the stone roses at etihad stadium. Fantastic place really friendly staff. The lady gave us advice on local trams and prices which saved us a fortune in travel. And the best part is... the eskdale has 2 bars!!! Excellent prices too. Top marks!!!!

Warm welcome from the staff, we had booked two rooms for four adults, one twin one double. Twin room was up on the second floor and double on the first. Room wasn't as big as last time we stayed here, but everything was spotless and lots of accessories in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and served in a very regal... More

We visited the Eskdale Lodge for a family Sunday lunch trip. Excellent roasts (the beef was great) and we also had the choice of a Sunday menu and a specials board - one of our party had roast salmon and another prawn risotto. All meals, sweets and drinks were great. We'll be back soon to try you again. Thanks Eskdale... More

Spend de last 6 nights in this lovely little family hotel booked for us by Manchester United FC where my son was on a trial during the week. We were met by a warm welcoming staff who did every they could to make us feel right at home. The room is spacious and light and comfortable. Breakfast and dinners were... More

Stayed here whilst visiting my cousin who lives within walking distance, clean and tidy, refurbishment is required in a few areas, but the rooms are large and the cookies supplied with the tea and coffee are scrummy! Nice bar area which is popular, shame that the locals and owner propped up the bar which made access to get served a... More

What a lovely little hotel.. Stayed during a trip to Manchester for work. Was clean tidy & had everything we needed. The food served was FANTASTIC! Only 4* as bathrooms need an update. Definite recommend! We will be returning next year!

Thank you so much for your positive review. As stated previously, all our bathrooms are part of an ongoing major refurb and whilst not currently up to the 5* standard I would want, they are still to a high standard and come with shampoo, body Gel, bath Gel, hand cream, hand wash, cotton buds, shower cap, cotton wool, soap, sewing... I booked the hotel on the basis of previous reviews however was somewhat disappointed. There was no friendly or warm welcome which I found surprising and the room / facilities were rather basic. Of particular note was the state of the small en-suite bathroom which had not been cleaned properly and there was thick dust evident on the majority of... More

Can I first of all apologise that your stay with us was not up to your expectations and thank you for giving me the chance to reply. I must say at this point that I was very surprised with this negative review given that you asked if you could stay another night, which was not possible due to us being... More

Our group stayed at this hotel on the second night of our Coast to Coast cycle trip. It was very busy with diners when we arrived and despite saying they had facilities for storing bicycles we had to wait a long time before we could safely lock them away. My room was comfortable and clean, but missing a hairdryer. We... More

I am so sorry that we did not meet your expectations and thank you for my right to respond. Given that your review was left 7 months after staying with us please forgive me for not recognising you personally. It is very unusual that any space of time was spent locking your bikes away due to our double garage being... More
