I must start by saying that this was the first time that I had stayed at this hotel. It's very near Old Trafford and had good transport links. What people don't realise is that you have free parking, nice friendly bar staff and friendly receptionist, and fab rooms. It's not the Ritz by any means, but a nice place to...

This was absolutely dire. The place stank of cigarettes and drugs, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and generally felt unsafe. I only stayed here because the new Travelodge on the same road was booked up, and I knew that was a good hotel but thought 'Hey, it's fine, this is an independent hotel, it should be lovely!'...

Stayed at the Amblehurst hotel this week. First thing I must mention is the staff at this place are very friendly & very helpful. It's positioned 10 mins cab away from Old Trafford ( Manchester United's football ground ) which is the reason we stayed here. The downside of this hotel is I feel it's very outdated & needs a...

the place is drab, has you go up to your room the hallways stink of damp, paper been removed showing black mould all over walls, my room was rubbish holes in curtains, mould around bath, no sink and bath plug, hols in towels, rubbish tiny TV, and in the morning, the smell of weed in the hallway

It is what it is! Cheap little hotel good for passing visits and nights out. Thin walls, few odd characters knocking about but it could have been a lot worse. The rooms were clean and tidy, basic but if you just want a bed for the night and a shower in the morning then it's absolutely fine.

It is a 5 minute walk to tram station, which is great for getting in and around Manchester. Free parking at the hotel is a bonus. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very clean but a bit dated.

We chose this hotel for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary celebration lunch. This was because we had celebrated previous milestone anniversaries there, namely their 50th and 55th, and always experienced excellent service and wonderful food. We were certainly not disappointed at all on this occasion. I organised the bulk of the preparations via email with Imran, the manager. He always...

Comfy bed, pleasant receptionist (the one who reads books), good breakfast and a fair price. Will stay again for sure. Probably wouldn't bring the missus, but would defo stay with mates. Nothing to do for kids incase you're considering bringing all the family. Plenty of takeaways around, Tesco and m&s across the road, short walk in to town.

I went here with my husband a few months ago in 2016. The photographs are not a true reflection of what the place is like. It was difficult to find and when we did, bail hostel came into mind. It had a smashed front window. The reception area was run down and when we entered the room we were hit...

Basic. Had a bed, toilet and sink. Over priced for what it is. Had a constant smell of poo as well which wasn't too pleasant. None of that really matters though once you're stoned as a crow. Best thing is that there's a Domino's opposite the hotel which perfectly accompanies a late night spliff.
