The hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens on one side and paddocks of farm animals on the other. We had a good room with its own small garden and tiny kitchen. There is no bar which is a drawback. The dining room was very pleasant but the food seemed to be dated and not special in any way.

The hotel has a great location, just outside the town of Pornic and within 200 metres of a beach where I swam. It has its own vegetable and fruit garden and its own vines - the fruits of which are served in the restaurant. There is also a small farm that keeps local breeds of poultry, sheep and goats. The...

Our room was small and not great value for money. The décor was badly in need to maintenance/upgrade. The place itself is great with easy access to the coast line and beach, plus the extensive veg gardens and vineyard. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food in he restaurant was good and service was good despite being very...

We stayed here with a 2 year who could roam freely around the beautiful enclosed kitchen garden and hired the bikes from reception taking the nearby cycle trail into pornic. My memories of this Hotel/Apartment experience are extremely positive, the nearby beach clean and accessed by a hill walk with steps. The most pleasure we gained from out stay was...

My wife and I spent a week at Residence La Fontaine Aux Bretons and loved every minute of it. The hotel and its extremely spacious grounds are set in view of the sea with easy access to trails along a very scenic coast. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the facilities very comfortable. The rooms are small, as...

Lovely "old style" hotel - not a plastic wardrobe in sight. Wonderful gardens with gorgeous aromas and views - just absorb the quietness and you'll feel de-stressed very quickly. The menu in the restaurant seemed a bit limited - but the food was well cooked, if a bit lacking in spices etc - surprising given the variety in the garden....

This hotel is amazing, the gorgeous organic gardens, the rooms with sea and garden views, the helpful staff especially in the restaurant, everything was absolutely first class including the food and their own wine. We will definitely return for longer next time.

We only had one night here on a trip around France. The room had a balcony with a sea view and views over the gardens and vineyards. The scents wafting into the room and balcony were amazing. Roses, herbs and honeysuckle. Just a shame this couldn't be captured. The staff were lovely and made every effort to give an enjoyable...

This is Hidden Gem of a place! We started our honeymoon here, and wish we'd have spent more time here. The loft style room we had was great and had one of the best views, front and back of the ocean. the gardens were beauitful, and the short walk to the beach was great. The staff there were also wonderful,...
