Walked in greeted by a big smile from the receptionist who was happy to help with anything we needed during our stay, location is awesome and the rooms are proper family tatami mat style rooms with authentic onsen.
Great location, family tatami mat style rooms with authentic onsen. Great price, family style friendly service. Perfect place for Miyajima. Helpful staff with helpful tips for discovering the island most helpful. Onsen opens 3pm - 11pm and is not to be missed.
The island is fanstastic with a range of places to visit, but rather a small selection of hotels. This one offers a Japanese feel with sleeping on the floor. The window view was fantastic , however, should the room has been updated and with a bigger bathroom (that was the smallest bathroom ever in Japan) the whole experience could have been better.
We could see our hotel from the ferry ! That's how central it was and it looked right out onto the sea. Deer greeted us as we arrived. There are crowds and crowds of day-trippers during the day so I would highly recommend staying at least 1 overnight here as the town is magical at night. The staff are wonderful here. There is a coin laundry on the 4th floor and a Sento hot bath in the basement that we used everyday. Breakfast is 500yen and definitly worth it. As we are a family of 5 we booked 3 rooms beside each other as it worked out cheaper for us. We would definitly stay here again on this magical island
Stayed one night. From memory paid about£100. Short walk from the ferry. Very helpful young chap with excellent English on reception. location is good near all the importance stuff. Erin was basic Japanese style room. tiny bathroom but everything worked. Hot water, WiFi, etc. Basic onsen in the basement and a bonus of a coin operated washing machine and dryer. It's not going to win any awards but we felt it a good choice.
