I stayed one night with my family. The room was clean and spacious and we could see Itsukushima's Trii from our room. Dinner was served in our room. It was multi course, traditional Kaiseki style dinner, emphasis on local ingredients and everything was delicious. Their breakfast was buffet style and there were big variety of food. Japanese traditional omelet and... More

Overall, a very nice way to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan. We were on a family vacation with my two young sons (9yo & 13yo) and this was so different than anything they had experienced before. The hotel location is great - maybe 100m from the ferry station and right at the start of the shopping area and perhaps 200m... More

The hotel was very clean and tidy, if a tiny bit dated in its furniture. The onsens on the top floor were lovely, with a beautiful view out over the water. The breakfast was very pleasing, with a wide range of food to choose from. Most of all they had the comfiest futons I slept on in my whole trip.

We stayed in an ocean view room for 2 nights in January 2016. I requested a room on a high floor and we were given room 301, which was the highlight of our trip: - Room: Japanese style with tatami mats and futon, and an adjacent bathroom with separate shower room. We had an amazing view out to sea and... More

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. We were here for two nights. They were two of the best nights we had while traveling Japan. Perfect hotel location, not to mention the views of the water from our room?! It was perfect. By far the most "honeymoon-esque" place we stayed. The kaiskei dinner included both nights was out... Me and my family stayed in this hotel for one night during our holiday in Japan. The hotel is facing the sea, with views of the mainland. It has no direct view of the Itsukushima shrine, which we really appreciated, however, the shrine and the Jinja are just 10 minutes walk. Dinner is a typical Japanese meal, especially seafood, appreciable... More

Location of the hotel was very close to the Ferry Pier and it would be very convenient if you have to carry heavy luggage. We stayed there for one night. The hotel room was a bit dated but still very clean and comfortable. Our room did not have a view so the windows were kept closed. The staff were helpful... More

Travelled in Japan for two weeks. Stayed in all sorts of places. This was by far the most wonderful place I slept it. It's a ryokan in a hotel, so you get the best of both worlds, a mix of tradition and comfort. The meals cater to everyone, from those with sophisticated taste palates (raw squid for breakfast) to everyone... More

Location wise was great - 3 mins walk from the pier, this saves you a lot of pain especially if you have huge luggage bags. In addition, its only a 5mins walk away from the Itsukushimi shrine and the Torii. Really convenient - especially allows you to visit the Torii at night to see it bathed in flood lights. Staff...
