We had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel. Very well located near the lakeside and beach, ultra friendly owners (for more than 20 years!), very comfortable rooms with a very nice & big common bath that you can privatise. Yuri's dinner set is delicious and different everyday with nice european flavors, while breakfast is typically japanese and very nice... More

The couples who run the place is nice and helpful. The room is clean, and the piano bath is creative and showing the owner's passion on Jazz. The Jazz Band we ran into was great and fun. Yet, the "dinner" provided at additional cost was disappointing which seemed more like an "appetizer plate", while there's nowhere near by that we... More

We stayed during some of the heaviest snow falls across the Tohoku area. Outside, the landscape was quite harsh with wind and snow driven across the lake. Our room, with a loft bedroom and floor to ceiling picture windows, provided us with warm and comfortable respite. The proproetors, Tatsuya and Yuri, both speak excellent English and have created a unique... More

The great taste underlying everything in this establishment is unquestionable. Music, attention to detail in amenities. Yuri's cooking is unique and something to look forward to daily. Good location right on the lake shore and within easy walking distance to Tazawako bus station. Great spot to get away from it all for some time.

My husband and I visited Tazawako in May 2013. We loved our stay at That Sounds Good- it rained the whole time we were there unfortunately but it is such a nice cosy place that it didn't matter. The owners gave us lifts to and from the bus stop several times (when we arrived and left, and also when we... More

We have been here with my Japanese wife and my son. We are from Italy and we have never seen such a beautiful field, with the lake, the snow and the beautiful and kindness of the happy owners of "that sounds good". Our room was a big one with 3 beds on two levels lake side signt. The breakfast is... More

We have been in this beautiful stay during two travels. It's a nice wooden building on the side of Tazawako lake. The cafe is a jazz club, with a grandpiano and several other instruments. I play the piano and that's why we picked up the place at a first glance. It's easy to reach by shinkansen and the area has... More

We were expecting something different with this cafe + Inn, but were delighted at how modern the facilities were and how helpful the owners were. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. They picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and left and also when we caught the bus to Nyuto Onsen. The owners speak excellent... More
