Can’t say enough good things about Three Sixty. The food is delicious, the views are spectacular, the wildlife is abundant, the room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to make the guests feel special. We will be back for sure! Shout out to Berny for being the best driver (4 hours from San Jose airport to hotel and around town). To Diana and Elias for planning/managing every little detail of our trip (b-day celebration, tours, clinic visit). To Will, Alex, Jairo, Annette and Nidia for making the best drinks, serving with good conversation, and pointing out the local wildlife and views. To Javier, Brian, Kevin and Ronald for the good company and hauling our luggage. Until next time!
I could condense my description of Hotel Three Sixty down to a few choice words: breathtaking natural beauty, elegance without pretension, and serenity without dullness, but that would omit a key component – the staff. I read the hotel reviews before booking and almost without exception all raved about the staff. Sure, it’s hard not to like someone who brings you a cold glass of water with a slice of lemon when you sit down by the pool, hands you an umbrella when needed, arranges transportation and day trips, or schedules an early breakfast for you before a day trip. But after having been there I now understand that it’s much more than that. They provide a welcoming atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. Kudos to the staff – you are amazing. Watching the parrots and toucans from my personal balcony in the morning as I sipped the Costa Rican coffee prepared in my personal espresso machine set the tone for each day. Having traveled the world extensively, there are very few places I would return to, but this is definitely one of them. …
Excellent service and hospitality special mention Diana and Elias Alexander server Very relaxing Overall all the staff amazing Not sure what else to say Will definitely recommend this hotel to all contacts
This trip was a big splurge for us and a return to international travel after 2020. I'd guess we were the only people there who fly in coach. The villas, restaurant and grounds are gorgeous, with views that never get old. We did the partial ocean view and loved it. Sunsets are a reason to stop whatever you are doing - and they are fast, so grab a seat, cocktail and enjoy. The quiet is incredible. No cars, very few people, no kids, no loud music. Such a treat to just listen to the jungle. We never turned on the TV or streamed any content. Terrific staff throughout, especially enjoyed talking with Javier, Will and Berny. Top-notch housekeeping. The staff alerts housekeeping when you're at breakfast or on an adventure. Room was always done or near done when we finished breakfast. Room service is offered but we enjoyed the views from the restaurant/ pool so much we never ordered in. The spot is very safe, with a gatehouse to the property. Our room number was always reported to the man at the gate, and I think they were doing a headcount to ensure guests were accounted for after trips down the mountain. Even though January is the dry season, it rained every day (sometimes impressive downpours). Most of the rain happened late afternoon. I liked watching it from the beautiful covered deck. There are two umbrellas outside the room. The excursions, restaurant and spa were pricey for our budget, so we made "economy" choices and opted for a few supermarket meals, horseback riding on the beach (amazing), a kayak tour and a day in Uvita at the Whale Tail / Marino Ballena National Park (highly recommend Marino Ballena). Be advised that no tour provided water. This seems to be a Costa Rica thing related to minimizing plastic bottles, as we also experienced it in Tamarindo Did not see much wildlife near the hotel, but did spot a small troop of monkeys, several macaws and toucans, and many lizards. Breakfast is included and every option is delicious. The villa was very comfortable, perfect for two people. Loved the deck and spent many hours just staring at the view. The Wi-Fi is pretty good. Appreciated that there is no TV in the restaurant/lobby. Staff are super-responsive to WhatsApp messages and that's how we arranged tours and taxis. If you don't have a car, you'll arrange taxis directly with the hotel. $70 RT to Uvita / $120 RT to Dominical, $600RT to San Jose airport (add $20 if going downtown San Jose). The drivers are all wonderful. If you don't have a car, try to coordinate stops to supermarket or pharmacy with your excursions. The drive from the airport was 4.5 hours with one short stop. The drive back to downtown San Jose (Hilton Curio) was five hours with a quick stop. Be sure to allow extra time if making a flight: we encountered one closed road and a mudslide that temporarily shut down traffic in both directions. A few notes: The hotel asks about dietary restrictions, but not sure why as no alternate menu items were offered. I asked for a salad one night, which they kindly made, but it was not at the level of the other food we tried. We ended up grazing on cheese/crackers/snacks from the supermarket a few nights. I love visiting supermarkets and pharmacies outside the US, so we had fun picking our room picnics. A different breakfast / lunch / dinner item to supplement the regular menu would have been a nice option. The weirdest thing: We asked twice for extra coffee pods but had no luck. It seemed like a very modest request. (I do understand trying to minimize waste.) Ended up buying pods at the supermarket. Milk/creamer in the fridge would have been great. The power went out twice, once overnight and once in the morning. …
Hotel 360 is a beautiful, tranquil, retreat atop the rainforest in the Oso Peninsula. It probably has the best restaurant in Ojochal, and as folks who love food, we tried many that the town had to offer. Happy to know there is another restaurant they are soon to open on property. Our massages at the spa were glorious. The gym could use some improvement and the equipment updated. But what made our vacation most special were the people of Hotel 360. They were the reason this trip gets 5 stars. Muchisima gracias Diana, Javier, William, Elias, Jairo, Anette and all the lovely Ticos and Ticas of Hotel 360. Pura Vida!!
My partner and I went to Three sixty as a getaway. The location itself is super remote and took four hours from San Jose airport to get to. But it was so worth it. When I say that the hotel took care of our every need I am not kidding. The location staff, service, transportation, exertions, spa, restaurants, poolside service. It was the most elevated hotel we’ve been to in terms of luxury in a remote/unique place and service. Adults only small boutique hotel made it to be super intimate. Every member knew us well and helped us with literally anything we needed. My partner proposed and they made it so incredibly special for us. The hotel is special because it sits on the top of a mountain in the Costa Rican jungle in Ojochal. It’s in the mountains with miraculous views of coast/ocean/and jungle, animal watching and luxury. Just about 20-30 minute drive to the beach which of course the concierge manages for you. We saw toucans, monkeys, and amazing wildlife within steps of our room. Each room has spectacular views of the 360 views on the mountain. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms had a ton of space and private balconies with luxury bathroom (no bath tubs). I could not say enough good things about it. This was my favorite hotel/all around best I’ve ever been to hands down. Ronaldo, Diana, Elias, Will,Alex, Annette, Javier, Jairo you were the best! PS the only place for improvement is the elevator pop jazz cover music that plays in the common areas. Changing the music will totally elevate the vibe during poolside and restaurant service.…
This hotel is unique. it literally have 360 degrees of the jungle and the ocean. the rooms are secluded and impeccable. The service is amazing! Thank you Diana, Annette, Javier and Alex and the rest of the staff who made our vacation memorable. Thank you !
Me and my wife were celebrating our anniversary and decided to go to CR for 10 days. After visiting the hotel website, we felt this was the perfect location to relax, enjoy nature and a great time at a small luxury hotel. We arrived there after a 4 hour drive from the capital, San José. We rented a 4x4 vehicle, as we were advised that in CR, roads can be challenging (especially when it rains). From the main highway until the hotel there are around 1,5 kilometers without pavement. Still, the road is pretty accurate and not big challenges for an all road vehicle. Once we reached the hotel, we were picked up by one of the clerks, who drove us with a small electric vehicle up to the hotel. There, the desk manager, warmly welcomed us with delicious drinks. She gave us all information about the amenities of the hotel, answered all our questions, and then accompanied us to the room. From the bar to the pool, decoration and warm personnel, we felt this was the perfect choice. At the beginning we have booked 4 nights at the hotel, but then we decided to extend it to 7 amazing nights. About the hotel: Rooms: 5 stars – Amazing views to the forest, air conditioning and fan for accurate ventilation (specially with tropical weather). Huge bed, extremely comfortable! Well isolated windows, shower with amazing view, fridge, coffee machine, satellite TV. Personnel: 5 stars – All employees are extremely friendly, respectful and ready to help you with anything you need. They make your stay extremely comfortable, and do everything they can to make you feel like at home. Bar & Restaurant – 5 stars – The bar has an amazing diversity of drinks. From the best Rums to Brazilian Cachaca, you can try amazing drinks there. Cocktails are delicious! The restaurant has also great options for you to try. The cook is extremely professional, and the Menu is well balanced with amazing tastes. Nature – 5 stars – Be ready to stay at the pool and enjoy all kind of birds flying over the hotel. The Sunset is just amazing. Get your phone ready for some insane shots. Overall, we had an amazing experience and time for relax, enjoying nature and warm people. I can recommend it 100% PS: Big thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so great! …
"Three Sixty" was an amazing Intimate Hotel...... From check-in to our sad departure 7 days later, our stay was perfect. The villas were beautiful and roomy with large balconys and views almost as awesome as from the pool & restaurant. The grounds are luscious and green with the rain forest and ocean in every view beyond. The view from the pool & restaurant is unmatched anywhere, changing with the light every minute and photos do not show the true colors, especially the sunsets!! The staff was great..... All of them knew the 4 of us by name after the first day and were always and I mean always, smiling. The front desk staff took care of all our needs, from booking tours, sightseeing, hikes, directions, and shared photos of the sunrises, sunsets or wildlife they saw, but we may have missed. The food and drinks at the restaurant, Kua Kua, were all great. Breakfast every day to get us going and several lunches at pool, plus multiple dinners nevery disappointed any of us. I've been to the best Hawaii resorts, Tahiti, the Caribbean & Australia and Hotel Three Sixty beats them all............... Maybe that's why this was our 2nd visit and this time brought our adult family to enjoy it with us. It also helps that Costa Rica is one of the safest places in the Americas to visit with friendly & welcoming people.…
Hotel Three Sixty is an amazing property that offers exceptional views, luxury rooms, and a great environment to take a break from it all. Our group consisted of 2 other couples and each one of us give high praises to all of the staff at Hotel Three Sixty, but Diana and Alex are the absolute best! From booking until the day we departed, Diana assisted us with every detail from charter flights, dinner reservations and transportation, excursions, and even helping us get tree tea oil and Benadryl from the local pharmacy. Alex assisted us pool side and at the restaurant and was on top of every thing. Both were personal, friendly, and witty! We’ve visited other parts of Costa Rica before but combined with the stay at the Hotel Three Sixty and the exceptional food at the local restaurants, we will be returning to Hotel Three Sixty and the Ojochal area for many years to come.…
