The houses are not great, but fine for a low budget winter vacation. Pros: - It's position is good, you can walk to the ski lift +- 10min, or drive +-2min. - There is a very simple pool in the middle of the complex. - They have an arrangement that you can order and pick up bread every morning at the reception. Saves a 10min walk to the bakery. - They have wheelchair accessible houses - Good deals on house + skipass Cons: -The beds are not comfortable. - The shower isn't good either, runs out of warm water after 2 showers. - We had a house that had a capacity of 6 people, but it's more like 4... - Not enough parking spaces Eventhough the house doesn't sound nice, we had a great time here the first time last year, and this year again!

We spent 2 days in Odalys Les Chalets de l'Arvan after New Year's day. Given that the best choice for such a short stay would have been a hotel and not an apartment, we were not completely satisfied about the accomodation. The location of the apartments is fantastic, in front of an unspoilt wood, in a really quiet area. All the apartments overlook this landscape and have nice balconies. Apartments are spacious and well equipped (also with washing machines), and have indipendent heating system. BUT We found the apartment really dirty and malodorous, as if it was not cleaned at all from the previous guests. There was rubbish on the balcony, and the floor was oily. Pillows and mattresses were yellowed and smelly, we used bath towels on top of pillowcases. We found mold in the bathroom, and the WC was in a small separate room, with no window and no fan. The apartment of our friend was as dirty as ours, so it looks like it is a general problem of the residence. The swimming pool area is also very dirty, it is not possible to use slippers, not even in the showers, and the floor is dirty and full of hairs..

When I looked at the map I was thinking that it's far to the slopes but it turned out that it's not so far - 5 minutes by bus or 10 by foot. To the bakery also 10 minutes by foot and 15 minutes to the shop and center of village (and the village is very nice so it were pleasant walks). Staff was nice and helpful. Room was also okey for us - clean and well equipped (but don't expect big rooms and high standard). Disadvantage was internet not for free and infrastructure on the property - when we were there there was thaw and a lot of mud and very little pavement or stairs... Overall impression: ok :) (and the slopes in Les Sybelles are great!!!)

We went there with a couple of friends to enjoy our holiday. When we arrived the lady of the house was impatient when we wanted to order sheets and towels. She looked very bad-tempered. Later on we entered our appartement and it looked clean. But when i cleaned it myself as i always do, my cleaning towel was black! And that was only from cleaning the dinner table! The fridge was dirty and In the shower there was mould, it was very filthy. We rented a appartment for 8 persons but went with 6 persons. Lucky for us because the house was so small, theres no space for 8 especially not at the dinnertable. We read on the internet that the appartments were close to the ski slope and close to the shops. That wasnt true, it was like a 20 minute walk. The day after arrival we wanted to use the swimmingpool, which was cold as ice, and the sauna, which was broken. When we asked when the sauna would be ready for use again, the answer was that it was not going to be fixed for like a week. Great. .. not. When we left the appartment we cleaned it ourselves and the lady of the house told us we didnt do a very good job. I dont think there was going to be a cleaning crew coming over to clean everything for the next guests. And that there wasnt one to clean the house before we got in. Pretty nasty. .. So it was not a very pleasant stay for us. I would not recommend it to anyone.

If you enjoy cleaning your accomadation as soon as you move in this is the place for you. We booked 3 apartments for our party, on our arrival 2 apartements were not cleaned yet. When the young man turned up he had no cleaning equipment with him, I was confused and asked how long it would take him to clean the 2 x 1 bed apartments. His answer 15 minutes, for both apartements, unbelievable. When we got in we were not surprised both units were filthy. All the plates and crockery had to be washed, toilet was dirty, kitchen greasy and all skirting boards had a very thick layer of dust as did under the bed. The floors were black and obviously had not been mopped for some time. The complex is run by Brigette who could give a prison Govenor a run for their money, she is rude, ignorant and must be obeyed, or else. I would never go back there which is a shame as the resort of Les sybelles is in contrast very well run and we found everyone very helpful and friendly.
