The city of Myoko is located just 2 hours from Tokyo by bullet train, as well as Niigata Airport by car. Lotte Arai Resort lies with scenic lands including a mountain range that starts with Mt. Myoko and extends all the way to the Sea of Japan, and rice fields that stretch as far as the eye can see. Within the abundance of nature surrounding Lotte Arai Resort, adults and children alike will be able to enjoy both Japan's longest zip line and the Tree Adventure courses. In the pure white of the winter season, you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding on slopes that boast the highest snowfall amount and some of the finest powder in all of Japan. Our guest rooms are as comfortable and calm as mountain villas, yet boast hospitality of the highest quality. Rounding it all out is the local foods, sake, and culture that you'll experience nowhere else.

We were traveling as a family so found the food very expensive. They need to offer more affordable food options - like shared family pizza at the Italian or cheaper noodle bar. Also provide regular shuttle into town since it is so remote. Free access...More

Dear Teejee02, Thanks for your visiting and reviewing. As you reviewed, the resort is located a little far from a town. We think we need to make access to a town easier. We will immediately take action on this to improve our service. Once again,...More

Dear Meg_Oz_traveller, We appreciate the kind review. Access, restaurants, activities, snow and hotel stay, I'm really glad to hear your compliments. However, I think we have a lot of things we need to learn. So I assure your revisit will be better than the last...More

We visited Lotte Arai in Feb 2018 for 6 nights. During our stay the resort was very quiet (as it only opened in mid Dec). It was incredible as we were able to snowboard all day and never have to wait in a que for...More

Sure, it has its growing issues (it only re-started in December 2017), but it was fantastic stay. To dispel some criticisms of reviews which I found were a bit unfair: Cost: What can expect for your money? No crowds/lines, new & clean facilities, great services,...More

On the plus side, the hotel is brand new and beautiful. Everything is conveniently set up and accessible (bouldering, ski school, restaurants). The ski resort, albeit small, offers decent on and off bound options not to get bored. The ski school was very good for...More

Pricing to hire from Lotte Arai looks to be between AUD $350 and $500 for 7 days. Google “lotte arai hire skis” and the first result has the details (TripAdvisor won’t let me post a link, sorry!).
