We stayed for one night for a skiing weekend. The only good thing about this hotel is that its infront of the Gondolas. The food was absolutely terrible, and the room although spacious, furniture was dirty and small, couldn't sit on the sofa because cushions were worn out and it actually hurt to sit. Hotel itself is old and not...

We returned to Hotel Moc, as our base for the Myoko ski area. It was like coming home, except Toko is not around- missed him! The rooms have had new showers installed since our last visit, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast has also improved. Dinner, as usual was very good value. You cannot beat the location, and the only...

Very close proximity to the Sky Cable (Gondola). A one minute walk there and if the road is not cleared of the days snow you can ski back to the door. The owner operator Sachiko is excellent any questions asked are answered and anything she can do to help you she will do. We booked a Tatami Room and it...

Service: the owner and a host Sachiko is so so sweet! She went out of her way to help me with my visa papers, all our travel arrangements, taxis, discounted ski passes etc. Her son pick us up and dropped at the train station. Hospitality was absolutely outstanding! I have to say I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised:) Location:...

My family and I recently spent 5 nights at Hotel Moc over Christmas and had a great stay. The hotel is basic, but reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the Akakura area. The hotel is a <10minute walk from the main restaurant part of town, straight across from the Akakura Kanko ski lifts and <10minute walk from the akakura...

We stayed here for two nights. honestly compared to other places in Japan we expected a lot more because of the hotel cost but our room was very basic, and the beds were very basic as well. Pros: good location, close to ski area, there is also an izakaya nearby not sure of other places but probably cheaper than higher...

if you haven't skied in Japan before, you shouldn't expect European or even Aussie style accom. Sensational snow draws you to Japan, not après-ski. Moc is functional, and totally acceptable. I For me, futons in Myoko are a better option than western beds. Moc's Onsen is not special; breakfast average. The owner speaks great english, was lovely, helpful, ordered an...

As a group of 3 lads chasing epic powder for 4 days, we were unimpressed from the moment we stepped foot inside. The hotel front room reminds of a backpackers hostel with its smoking area and a couple of vending machines. The single lift is covered with timber-look wallpaper and the floors are a dark brown tile-look vinyl. The middle...

Returned to Hotel Moc for another visit, and it continues to be a delight. The rooms are large and comfortable, and this time we used the lounge area, to have a few post ski drinks with the friends we were traveling with. The lounge area does lack a bit of warmth, but it large and spacious. The downstairs onsen is...
