We stayed here 6 nights and loved it. We were 2 couples in our early 30s on a ski trip. The hotel facilities and location were spot on. Nothing too fancy but it had everything you needed. We could walk straight to the ski lifts and the restaurants and shops were at the doorstep. We loved using the onsens after...

We had an awesome stAy in Myoko, it is a traditional Japanese town with basic facilities, decent food and fabulous snow. We chose taizan as it was recommended both on trip advisor and the local tourist office and being a family we wanted the option of private bathroom facilities. We found the hotel disappointing, it had the appearance of s...

Just complete my sixth snow trip to Japan for and can happily say that the accommodation at the Kogan Taizan was great. Courtney the English speaking guide/concierge was spot on. As were the rest of the owners and staff. Only fault I could pick on was breakfast. As my group likes to get on the first lifts of the day...

This is our 7th trip to Japan for skiing and we love this place. They allowed us to check in early, free shuttle van to send us to Myoko station and they have Courtney an Australian lady who speaks fluent japanese. Breakfast is free and it is superb. Room is spacious considering Japanese standard. It is also near to the...

We stayed in the Japanese style rooms which was great. Warm room with ensuite. Loved the onsen where we bathed daily. Family were very caring and helpful. Courtney the hotels interpretor was very handy with local knowledge for nightly dinner suggestions. Breakfast included both Japanese and western foods and we like the Japanese food. Hope to book again for 2016.

We are a family with a young child and we found hotel Taizan FANTASTIC! The location of the hotel is perfectly close to ski lifts, shops and restaurants in the village. The family and staff who run the hotel are so friendly and accommodating. The traditional tatami room with ensuite was warm and very comfortable. The hotel Onsen was awesome...

We are a family of five, and we stayed at Kogen Hotel Taizan in Jan 2013. The hotel is quite old - circa 1960 decor, but well-maintained, very clean and comfortable. It's right in the middle of Akakura village, so very close to all amenities, restaurants and shops. It's only a couple of minutes walk to the ski slopes. As...
