I was in the Glenelg Inn recently on a wet windy day. The roar of the log fire was most welcoming. We had a hearty bowl of soup and the Irish chap Kevin made us the best hot chocolate I've ever had. If it's hot chocolate your after Kevin is ur man. Will be back !

We come here every year in October it never fails to impressive me. The pub is homely and very welcoming and the locals and staff are extremely friendly. I have been coming here for over 15 years since my children were little and this year we brought my 6 year old granddaughter who ever night asked if we were going...

"Charming" only begins to capture The Inn! We've enjoyed a week of outstanding dinners, including great soups, elegant entrées and the best fish-and-chips ever. Best was "Quiz Night" in the pub: gathering of town folk for a hilarious charity trivia game: new friends came by for a pint, and easy talk of American politics and Scottish people went into the...

A friendly welcome in a place that effectively mixes being a "local" and a tourist destination without fuss. The room was well presented with a great view across the Sound, a lovely bath and a decent firm bed. The food was unpretentious, wholesome and beautifully cooked. Full marks would have been given if it hadn't been for a general grubbiness...

The location is very peaceful and we were lucky to have fantastic autumn weather to explore the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was great too, good with a...

Great bar - bustling, warm, welcoming atmosphere, good food. Stayed for one night with parents. Clean and spacious rooms. Beautiful location by the loch. Nearby brochs worth a visit - impressive circular structures! Would come back.

Arrived on the Sunday at Glenelg and popped along to the famous Glenelg Inn for a spot of dinner that evening. The setting, the ambience, the staff and the welcome all suggested this was going to be good. Three courses later and having met most of the team, we were hooked. We ate there every night for the next five...

We stopped by whilst out for a run in the car on a beautiful October day. The bar is dog friendly and very quaint. We had two courses but had we known the the portion of fish and chips you get is colossal, we wouldn't have had starters. Fish beautifully cooked in light crispy better, real home made chips, peas...
