Very friendly from the minute we entered the inn. Barmaid very friendly and also some locals too. We had a light late lunch as we were too early for dinner and wanted to go back on the ferry , but we very much enjoyed what we had. Looking forward to returning for a Sunday roast X

Had a great meal with our family. There were three adults, 2 kids and a toddler and there was something for all of us. First class food, a great atmosphere, friendly locals, and good beer made for a great evening. we also made several other visits for drinks and each time it was great.

The Glenelg is a friendly inn, with a lively bar and offers a good standard of food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room (7) was large airy and clean. Wonderfully situated with views across to Skye and in a great area for walking the many hills and glens. Only minor issue is the window blinds are fiendishly difficult to operate,... More

We celebrated New Year in Glenelg, and it was perfect, we even had snow on New Years Day! We visited the Inn a number of times during our stay after long walks, and it was full of character and chalming, I suspect a pub that suits the winter environment as its quite dark inside. Although on a "good" day, this... More

We ate at the Glenelg Inn while staying at a nearby B& B that they recommended when we enquired about booking at the Inn and it was full. We were hoping for the 5 star experience, but alas, a few things knocked them down to just 4. Obviously, still a nice place to eat, but losing our reservation made two... More

We arrived at the Glenelg inn with high expectations of a lovely lunch. After sitting down and reading the menu, my partner explained to the young waitress that he didn't think there was anything on the menu he could eat as he was coelia , was that the case?. She replied yes with no offer of going to find out... More

When we arrived after a ten hour walk (paddle, slog) in the rain over hill and dale we saw a sign that said "Bookings essential" and thought oh, right we'll eat the last of our soggy bread under a tree and pitch our tent in a lay-by. Well the staff wouldn't have that. They got us to a table, even... More

Arriving at the Glenelg Inn was a treat and our room views were beautiful across bay to the Isle of Skye. Our room was spacious and our double bed was Queen sized. The room was clean but bedding and towels were creased. Access to the bedroom was by very narrow stairs - not ideal but we had a good night's... More

Wood Pigeon with Haggis Bonbon and Onion Puree to start.Venison Haunch with Dauphinoise Potatoes and Saute Cabbage for main.Cooked to absolute perfection. Presented beautifully.Stuffed, so can't report on desserts or cheeseboard although reaction from other diners suggested Starter and Main standards were definitely being maintained. As a chef with 25 years experience it was a dining privilege and without doubt... More

Wonderful night at the Glenelg Inn, wonderful food in a cosy setting. An atmospheric pub were you are really looked after brilliantly. Beautiful setting, and well worth a short detour if you want an experience. As far from corporate hotels as you can get. If you want a buzzy, late night this is your kinda place.
