Beautiful scenery while driving a winding 1-lane road that leads to this small rural inn. A nice outdoor seating area overlooking the water and surrounding mountain ranges - a perfect spot to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail and visit with other guests. Very laid-back atmosphere. As a guest of the hotel we had a reserved table waiting for us when we... More

I've stayed in it, camped outside it, and just popped in for a quick lunch on the way to the Glenelg ferry, on numerous occasions. Well worth the detour if you're heading for Skye and the best place around for an overnight stay. Always the warmest welcome & the best food you could hope to find.

Great find at end of single track road but worth effort as it has great rooms, terrific menu & several real ales to sample on arrival. It does attract the many holiday makers from surrounding holiday lets as well as residents of inn. Great staff with friendly service. Located close to community owned ferry to Skye which in itself is... More

An amazing weeks stay in Glenelg. Various cottages dotted around and a route in and out either on a mountain pass or a unique ferry! Village shop and the very warm and welcoming Glenelg Inn. Local are a few attractions and an ancient crumbling barracks. Otters spotted in the area as well as a golden eagle. Quirky tea huts and... More

I think this is what I had in mind when I think of an old style Inn. A great roaring fire was there to welcome us as we entered and the entire place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and truly Scottish. the food was amazing, especially the Beef Stew which was one of the best... More

We had dinner here for my sister-in-law's 40th, it was an unexpected gem! The food was delicious and the service very friendly. Great wine list and good choice of beers. If you are in the area for a holiday you should not miss this lovely Inn.

Very friendly from the minute we entered the inn. Barmaid very friendly and also some locals too. We had a light late lunch as we were too early for dinner and wanted to go back on the ferry , but we very much enjoyed what we had. Looking forward to returning for a Sunday roast X

Had a great meal with our family. There were three adults, 2 kids and a toddler and there was something for all of us. First class food, a great atmosphere, friendly locals, and good beer made for a great evening. we also made several other visits for drinks and each time it was great.

The Glenelg is a friendly inn, with a lively bar and offers a good standard of food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room (7) was large airy and clean. Wonderfully situated with views across to Skye and in a great area for walking the many hills and glens. Only minor issue is the window blinds are fiendishly difficult to operate,... More

We celebrated New Year in Glenelg, and it was perfect, we even had snow on New Years Day! We visited the Inn a number of times during our stay after long walks, and it was full of character and chalming, I suspect a pub that suits the winter environment as its quite dark inside. Although on a "good" day, this... More
