We visited Hunter's Gate back in February for a ski weekend with a large group of friends. The owners were extremely accommodating and attentive, from the moment we booked with them through our departure. The house is huge with ample space for our large group to spread out and was quite warm even in the winter. We loved the near ski in/ski out location - just a short walk and we were on the slopes, which was great with kids. It's a a fantastic family accommodation too. There's a big field right next to the house where our kids had a blast making snowmen and having snowball fights. If we're ever in the area again we'd love to stay here again for sure!

We visited recently with a small group of friends. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is gorgeous and perfectly situated for mountain adventures in Togari and Nozawa Onsen. We were there in May, but the Togari ski area seems situated directly next to it. It had a very ski-in ski-out feel. The lodge itself is very spacious and contained baths that could accommodate both Western and Japanese travelers. I loved the copper bar in the dining area, as well as the adventure lodge motif. Thanks very much to the owners!

My wife and I (and a few friends) stayed here for our elopement/honeymoon, and I could not have asked for better accommodations. Absolutely lovely and spacious lodge located in a beautiful and quiet area. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the friendly hosts were more than accommodating and clearly take great care of the place. I loved the bar/dining room upstairs in particular. The lodge is conveniently located close to the ski area, and to great food and drinks nearby. It also provided numerous opportunities for fun activities and site seeing across the Iiyama area. Our stay was completely wonderful, I highly recommend them.
