Stayed here for 3 nights to attend a family wedding. We stayed in room no 1 and found it to be very nice. The food is excellent a bit bit over priced but still very nice. The people in the bar were very friendly and the staff and owner were very pleasant. If I was up that way again I... More

Like many folks we've frequently intended to visit Dornie but always seem to be "passing by" - finally we got here & we popped into the Hotel on a quiet weekday! We were pleasantly surprised to find some really interesting choices on the bar lunch menu - we enjoiyed an interesting fresh langoustine salad with a wee chilli kick and... More

After travelling around the Isle of Skye all day we were ready for a drink and an early dinner. The staff were willing to agree to our request and we were soon sitting down in this quiet hotel. Another Australian from Brisbane, who was travelling alone joined us and we all enjoyed a nice meal together.

Shown through into the pleasant, small hotel dining room by Bridie, who was very friendly and took orders for food and drinks promptly. Not having the biggest of appetites we ordered the Lamb casserole with Basmati Rice and the Pan cooked Lambs Liver with bacon and served on mash. Didn’t have to wait too long and both meals were very... More

Went for lunch. Food was quite nice and not too expensive. Service was good with friendly staff. Tables were extremely close together which made it seem crowded although there were not many people in there. Free wifi which is a bonus.

This was recommended to us by our local B&B. Nice to see it used as local village pub. Smoked salmon starter was delicious and the langoustines were amazing. Steak pie was lovely. Sometimes it felt a bit long between the staff seeing to us, but they were very nice. Highly recommend.

Well for very famous castle to be on the door step of a very quaint village that has sadly died. The hotel was like going back in time by 30 years needs gutting and modenising. Wouldnt have been so vad if the owner and his staff were freindly. They were rood and unhelpful. A girl called Grace was the the... More

Taking non drivers to a wedding at the nearby castle, we experienced very comfortable accommodation at the Dornie Hotel.Breakfast was excellent as was our dinner in the evening.Room was spotlessly clean and a comforting refuge from the terrible weather. Highly recommended

I stayed here at the beginning of the week. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the awful smell of old cooking fat. There was no heating on anywhere in the hotel. The room was clean but the bathroom had terrible black mould all over the tiles. The beds were comfortable and had good duvets. The... More

We stayed here with my grandparents before heading to Skye the next day. We were greeted by a lovely young man and showed to our rooms. They were lovely but basic, on booking we had been informed that only one of the rooms had a shower, the other just having a bath. I'd said it was ok. However on arrival... More
