We found the hotel spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly, our room was fab with staircase to a mezanine room with a huge roof balcony overlooking the mountains and sea. The hotel is next door to a lovely restaurant that serves good wine and food, from there you find the main street with a few shops, bars and restaurants, together with a few more restaurants along the front. We never wanted a place with loads going on as this then draws in alot of tourists, we prefer to engage with the locals. I would definately stay here again, such good value.

We spent 4 nights here at the end of May, so still out of season. The hotel staff were all very friendly, English not fluent but certainly good enough for us. The room we stayed in was large, clean and with enough facilities for a short stay. We were surprised that there is no lift in a fairly new building. Breakfast was ample and there are some excellent cafes and restaurants in the area. The beach is sandy, quite large but excessively dirty, lots of glass, cans and plastics. I would not want to stay here with young children.

We had picked this hotel because it was both close to the sea and well situated for driving to the baroque cities of Sicily. Upon arrival, we were however surprised to see that the staff spoke no word of English, or French or German. Solo italiano!! This irritates me a lot. We understand and speak enough Italian to get along, and we think that tourists should make an effort towards learning the language of the place they're visiting - so, would have tried to speak Italian anyway. However, I cannot understand how ANY young European - not to mention that these were trying to make a living in the tourist industry! - can be so ignorant in matters of languages, and, furthermore, couldn't care less about! The hotel advertised "free parking available" on booking.com - but they forgot to add "if you're lucky". You can park the car in the neighborhood - nothing bad happened to ours, albeit some of the streets did not really look very inviting. The room was nice, clean and large, with an attic were our son slept, and a balcony overlooking the less-than-romantic street, not the sea. Unfortunately it only had a small "prison" window? and the WiFi did NOT work in the room (not a problem, if the contrary would not have been claimed on booking.com). Breakfast was fine - a lot of pastry to choose from. The best thing about this hotel is the adjacent fish restaurant - you need to book ahead. Also, you may get some Nero d'Avola bottles from the wine caves nearby. The worst is, well, the could-have-been-nice beach district of Avola, which would have a certain attractiveness if only someone would clean it up a little bit. The beach and sea were outright dirty, and the old tonnara - supposedly a tourist attraction - is a decrepit and smelly ruin.

The hotel is new build on the beach side of Avola. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent. Air-conditioning efficient and quiet. It is near beaches and has an excellent restaurant next door. Staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities and breakfast not extensive but in accordance with budget and 3 star rating.

Stayed there with my familty (2 young kids) two weeks beginning July. PROS: - very nice room (we got the one on two levels), everything fresh renewed - good breakfast, directly offered in a room close to the hall - hotel staff always nice and kind - the restaurant close to the hotel is simply awesome CONS: - honestly is hard to find an issue. Probably the low wi-fi connection in the room, but in vacation is something I can survive
