We spent a night here on our walking tour - it is nice inn but the room we had in the annex was noisy as it was adjacent to the road. The futon was also a bit hard compared to some other futons.

Ichikawa was a great place to stay. The three generations of women running the place came to say hello to us during dinner. The bath was run upon arrival. The food was incredible and the room simply beautiful.
This was our first night's accommodation on the "Winter Nakasendo Way" with Walk Japan. This historic Inn is managed by 3 generations (the 14th, 15th & 16th generation of the same family!) of Japanese Ladies.
