I love to shower warm water in general. Once I'm done, normally, the whole mirror in the bathroom will turn smoky. NOT FOR THIS HOTEL! It able to make one portion of the mirror stay shiny. Impressed. The breakfast choice is not much. But i do love an icecream in the morning serving. All the staffs are helpful and polite. 5 mins walk to the train station. Nice location.

As with many hotels in Japan, the bedrooms rooms are small by western standards.

The hotel is clean and the staff welcoming. However the interior decor is dated and well overdue a refresh.

The hotel is in an excellent location for the Kintetsu railway station (2 mins walk), neighbouring shopping mall and the direct bus to Centrair Nagoya Airport stops directly outside the hotel.

The breakfast is reasonable. A strict voucher system operates to enter the breakfast room. With many guests forgetting to bring their voucher down, a return trip to your room is necessary. This can be infuriating, particularly as there is often a wait for the lift. If security is an issue a simple guest list at the door would suffice.

The service at this hotel was extraordinary. The staff met us at the train station with umbrellas for arrival. The front desk offers money exchange. The location is good for shopping and convenience to the train station. I would highly recommend this hotel while in Yokkaichi!

I stayed here for one night in September and I can it is very centrally located. There are even signs in the train station on what exit you have to take to reach it. The room was clean although they have to replace my first room because i cna still smell the smoke in the non smoking room. It is also next door to a shopping mall and a lot of little stores so I was able to at least go out and walk around. I was also able to get dinner in one of the restaurants in the shopping mall.

The brekfast is OK but not too much catered for western travelers.

I will use the hotel for my next trip because of its proximity to the Yokkaichi train station.

It also felt safe.

Thank you very much for your comment. We have to apologize for the first room which smells smoke in spite you reserved NON smoking room. It should be unconfortable. We're very sorry for the inconvenience. Also, we are just 3 minutes walk from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station. It's very easy access for our guests. Regarding our breakfast, we have been trying to increase numbers of dishes, as you told us. However we have to keep up efforts for the new dishes. We appreciate your comment and hope you come back in the near future. Thank you.

Nice and comfortable but tiny rooms. Good service, nice breakfast and very good locality.
This is the best hotel in Yokkaichi, i stayed there for 2 weeks, and am satisfied with the service. The environment of the hotel is pretty good along with the nice behavior of the staff. One can go for it with full surety of good comfort. If you want to get some luxury, then you need to think one more time.

A good night in Yokkaichi

We travelled up north from Ise to Yokkaichi. We chose to stay at Yokkaichi Miyako Hotel situated in the city downtown. The room's cleanliness, spacious, and amenities are very good. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The best thing is its location connected to Apita supermarket where we can take a quick tour and get Japanese goodies. For the town itself, Yokkaichi means the fourth day market and is called Home of Green Tea, therefore do not forget to drink the special brown fermented tea of Yokkaichi.....

I have stayed at this property twice in the past two months and both experiences were very good. The room is no-frills, typical Japanese style, small, with a nice view from the 11th floor. Bathroom had excellent hot water pressure and for the most part, a very restful sleep. Bed was double size or Queen but definitely not king size (I have no idea why Japanese hotels do not have king sized beds; then again, probably no space for them (chuckling). Expect to pay around 10,000 yen per night, though getting a room can be difficult as there are not many options in Yokkaichi-shi.

Adjacent to the hotel are several dining options and department stores and across the street the Kintetsu Railway station, so very convenient. I was a bit perturbed at having to pay for parking --15% of the hotel room rate per day--1500 yen per day just seemed mean spirited. I will likely consider different options next time.

One other thing that was a very special experience. I did not want to drink hot tea and asked for coffee, you know the instant type. To my surprise, they brought up an espresso machine that make coffee to order and it was absolutely delicious. I will likely return just for this service.

We stayed here for the formula One JGP and we had a great time. Location wise it is accessible to everything- malls, restaurants, izakayas and most especially Suzuka Circuit. Yokkaichi kintetsu station is just a 5 min walk from the Hotel. Staff are helpful and attentive. Room is spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. We had a great view of the city from our room.

Breakfast is not included and there is a fee for TV use.

Have stayed at the Yokkaichi Miyako hotel a number of times in past years. The hotel continues to improve even as it ages. Rooms are well maintained, breakfast buffet is more extensive, staff goes to great lengths to provide service.

I remembered there was a refrigerator in my room and a complimentary dripped coffee. However, it's always better to inform the hotel of your specific need. fYI...The hotel is adjacent to the large supermarket "apita". Travellers can find all kinds of food and etc.

Hi! Dear Ann L. The parking lot is located in the basement of the hotel. There is an entrance to the parking lot by the entrance of the hotel. The parking fee is 1500 yen per day. In case of accommodation plans with parking lot, this fee is free. I hope my information will be useful to you. A good journey.
