As with most hotels in Japan the rooms are very small. However the rooms are very clean and ours was quiet. The location was very convenient for the train station. As we were there for the rugby world cup it was also very convenient for the stadium. The staff were very helpful although they spoke very little English. Breakfast was a little disappointing. There was a choice of either a Japanese or Western breakfast. It was the same thing everyday. All in all it was a good place to stay.
City Hotel Aunties offers basic accommodations minus the frivolous things you probably don't need anyway such as a huge television or spacious closet. Comfy, well-used but clean, and very reasonable priced, City Hotel Aunties should fit the bill for a light traveler looking for a place to stay in Toyota for a night or two. The optional morning breakfast was very pleasant; I'd recommend it!
I stayed here for business trip. It cost only around 6000 yen per night for single room. The room was unexpectedly spacious - if you are used to Japanese business hotel, you will know how narrow it used to be. It's clean, the bed was comfy, and the pillow is relatively fluffy compared to another business hotel which used to offer flat and stiff pillows. Location wise, it's quite close to Toyota Shi station, and Lawson store is just there by the corner. What I like best from (almost) all Japanese hotel, they offer full amenities (including pajamas and room slippers), which means I can just check in with a pair of clothes for next day meeting. Most hotel around this price and higher don't offer fancy amenities, but Aunties use "POLA" brand for their amenities which is quite above the standard for such hotel. Love it!…
For the price you are paying, I think very good value. Close to train and bus station. Clean and tidy room. Like all Japanese hotels, room bit small but this is standard. Good Wi-Fi. Great place to act as anchor when visit the different red leaves sites around this prefecture.
I stayed at this hotel for one night as I had gone back to Toyota to visit friends from my time in Japan. The location to Toyota Shi Station was good and wasn't much of a walk. The check in staff were polite and efficient. My room was clean and had a single bed. The toilet/bathroom wasn't too small like some business hotels in Japan can be, which is good for foreigners. Unluckily for me, I was given a room next to the lift which made it noisy, so i'd recommend requesting a room away form the elevators. The only issue I had was that the cleaning maids are quite loud as the doors don't seem to be sound proofed. I was woken up well before check out by their constant noise from outside.
