Detailed Reviews
A group of 12 of us stayed here as we were hiking up Cuilagh and wanted somewhere close by. We got the rooms at a fantastic price £39 pp for bed and breakfast and a £10 discount off dinner.
The hotel itself is clean, tidy and has its on charm. Towels, an iron, hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, tea coffee hot chocolate and bottle water all provided.
We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious! The chef and staff were extremely accommodating to our large group and honestly everyone found the food amazing. There is a huge amount of variety on the dinner menu - spoilt for choice. The breakfast was fantastic. The waitress worked hard to get everyone’s orders correct, which I’m sure is extremely difficult at the minute due to buffet restrictions etc. Really great food!!
The staff were the real stand out of the hotel! They were so pleasant, accommodating and hard working! Warm, friendly, fantastic service from all - waitresses, barmen and reception staff! Thank you for giving us a great stay we will be back!

I visited here with my partner for a nights stay over the bank holiday weekend. From the minute we walked through the door the staff were polite and very welcoming, making us feel very at ease. When we got you our room i was over the moon. Very modern, clean and airy, the bed was massive and comfortable I had a great nights sleep.
We dined in the bar for our evening meal were the host Lisa was very attentive. In these unsure times I was pleased to see staff wearing visors and/or masks, and the bar and tables sanitised very regularly. The bar was busy but tables were well spaced out. We had a three course meal and it was delicious, could not fault it at all. Same with breakfast, our sever was excellent and could not have done anymore to please us. Overall a great nights stay and will be back again for another visit in the not to distant future. Thumbs up!!

Recently went here for a lunch with friends. We had rang a week in advance and booked. We arrived and put our name forward for the booking to which we were told to wait until a space can be made for us. Surely arriving 5 minutes before our sitting would mean our table should be ready for us? The tall female manager quickly got circular tables and attempted to attach them to each other, not exactly ideal. I went to the toilet and 2 of the toilets had no toilet roll and one toilet was partially blocked. The floor was dirty with toilet paper scattered over it. Another girl at my table went to the toilet 50 minutes later and said the exact same thing. Within that time frame the two toilets still had no toilet roll and the other still partially blocked. Whether COVID 19 was around or not, these toilets should never be in this situation, and certainly not in the same state 50 minutes later. Even if the toilets were checked on an hourly basis, they would not have got in the state they were in within 10 minutes of me visiting the toilet originally. The hand dryer could not be in use however there were no disposable paper towels at the sink. There was also no hand sanitiser, only at the front door. Whilst this might be sufficient, other businesses in the area have sanitiser in the toilet also so members of the public feel extra safe, especially after visiting the toilet and using door handles. Staff were wearing masks, however the management tone to the staff was not great.
Despite the disappointing cleanliness of the toilets, and lack of hand sanitiser, the food was excellent.

Our family of 4 visited on a busy Saturday evening. The staff and food were absolutely superb. The manager Lisa was an amazing host and the waiting staff were excellent. Great attention to detail on following their Covid regulations with staff wearing visors and tables/chairs sanitised between changeovers. Well done The Valley Hotel we can't wait to visit again soon!

On a visit home after 4 years returned to the Valley hotel where despite the huge challenges faced due to pandemic the Williamson family have used the time to refurbish the hotel to an extremely high standard . Our welcome was as always like coming home . The room we stayed in was way beyond my expectatione ,where do i begin highest quality funishings and facilites . Fautless housekeeping standards . And what really makes it special is the attention to detail in everything they do here .
Bat loco was bustling with families all enjoying the beautiful food all served promptly and efficently and again attention to ensuring we had everything we wanted . A nice wine selection at very reasonable prices enhanced our dinner experience .

A lot of my family live around fermanagh, and i have been in the hotel on numerous occasions passing through having a quick pint of guinness which is 1st class and a meal also 1st class. This time i decided to stop over while visiting family who live close by.. the hotel staff where very courteous and nice manners and again the evening meal was outstanding. Fillet rare and proper sauteed fries in garlic 🙌. My fiancees meal was also top notch.. only downfall if i have to make one for management to look at is.. The room we where in overlooked the road, i myself am a truck driver completely understand the hotel sits on the main street of a main artery running from belfast to enniskillen, from around 04:30 you will here empty trucks rattle by the hotel. I know this as most of them are heading to quinn glass for full loads. As its one way past hotel the speed can be quite high.. i have done this myself many times and will be watching my speed going past hotel early am. I am a very light sleeper so this didnt help. Although its not really the hotels fault. But maybe triple glazed windows may help. Apart from that the bedroom was comfortable, nice decor and a bed i want to take home.. very well run establishment and i will always call in when passing through if i can. Would definitely stay again but i would be asking for an inside room especially if your a light sleeper 🙂 rated 4 but would say id have gave 5 if i had an inside room and a great nights sleep

Hi chrisfoster7, Welcome back and thank you for your continued support over the years when passing the hotel. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your evening meal and also thankyou for your kind comments regarding our staff we are very fortunate to have such a caring bunch of people to look after our customers. Apoloigies your sleep was distrubed, its something we took into consideration during the refurbsihment we have installed double glazing with acoustic glass to reduce the nosie levels as best possible, however we really appreciate the feedback. We have loads of rooms at the back of the hotel also please request on your next visit. Remember to book direct for the best rates and availability. Thanks again for your comments and we hope to welcome you back soon. Warmest Regards The Williamson Family & Team

Booked this hotel, via it’s website, as I was attending a motorsport event in the area, and the Valley was the closest hotel and was also recommended by a colleague.
Just before I was due to arrive I received a phone call to inform me that the lift was out of order, and if I wanted to I could change the dates I would be staying. I explained that I was coming to a motorsport event and was unable to change the booking. When I arrived I was told that my room was on the second floor. I explained that during the recent phone call I was told that my room was on the first floor, the receptionist checked and informed me that I had been upgraded for the three nights I had booked. The room was fine though the toilet was very close to the hand basin and I felt that the water pressure from the shower was not as good as some of the hotels I have stayed in. The only time I could get a really hot shower was around 6am. Also the bathroom would benefit from having a toilet brush provided.
I ate in the hotel the three nights I stayed. I found the menu provided you with a good choice of items and the quality of the food was excellent, though the quantity was a bit excessive. The breakfast provided was very good and meant that I was just about feeling ready to eat again when I returned back to the hotel in the evening. What I felt was a bonus was the fact that, despite breakfast being available from 08:00, it was possible for the hotel to provide a full cooked breakfast from 07:00 if requested. The items I especially fell in love with was the home made Guinness Bread and the Wheaten Bread, which are made in the hotel, they were to die for.
All the staff I encountered were very friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. They are a credit to the hotel
All in all, I had a wonderful experience and was provided with a lot of good Irish Hospitality.
If ever I am in the area in the future and need accommodation, my first port of call will be The Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown.

Hi KevinP8599RD Thank you for taking the time to write this review, we really appreciate all feedback. Everyone here at The Valley Hotel loves to know that our customers enjoy what we do. Thank you for your understanding regarding the essential maintenance to our lift and I hope you enjoyed the complimentary room upgrade. I can confirm the maintenance was completed that day and the lift is fully operational again. I'm not sure what went wrong with the water supply during your stay, we investigated the matter and cant find a fault and thankfully it hasn't happened since, we can only assume it was a one off, unexplained incident and we hope it didn't spoil your stay too much. I'm pleased everything else was to your satisfaction and I will pass on your kind comments to the team. I hope we get the chance to welcome you again in the future, our famous Guinness wheaten bread awaits!

Hadn't been in here for a while so my wife and I called in for an early evening meal on a Thursday evening. On previous visits we had normally been in at lunchtime. Was surprised to se such a big difference in the prices for the lunchtime and evening fare- a big jump. Plus were as on previous visits, a side was included in the price, they were charged extra for now, making for a dear meal. I went for chicken goujons and my wife had chilli beef with side salad in pitta bread. My goujons were obviously deep fried from frozen, as they had a very watery taste. My wife`s chilli beef was OK but the side salad consisted of 2 small bits of lettuce! All in all 2 poor to average meals at prices that you would have expected more for. Dont think well be back for a while!
Also non of the serving staff were wearing face masks and scant notice seemed to being paid to other covid 19 precautions either!
