I stayed in a cabine on stilts in the waters of a Lagoon of the Saloum River. The place is of a rare quiet and beauty, unspoiled. Management and staff are really friendly. No hot water available -ecology, you know-, and the food is average, but this is a very nice place to be if you are looking to get...

I loved staying in the tree house and found this a relaxing getaway from Dakar. We had generous portions of tasty food, I lazed in the hammock and swam in the pool. The website says it is 2 hours from Dakar - 3 to 3 1/2 would be more accurate. Very large monitor lizards are seasonal visitors and walk through...

The older French owner of this place doesn't belong in the hospitality business. When his hotel staff fail to provide good service, he becomes defensive and even accusatory. A few good reviews make some people think they are god's gift to tourism. This place is overpriced. The food portions are too small (which is a big problem because the meal...

Set pretty much in the middle of nowhere and well worth the trek over sandy roads through the saltpans to reach this great little hideaway -after all, it is not every day, you get chance to sleep in a tree hut. Excellent bird watching - trip in caleshe with Mathias highly recommended. Good food. We found Pierre to be a...

Ecological lodges along the water or in the baobab trees with spectacular view. Enjoy nature, lovely food, friendly staff and the luxury of a little swimming pool. From Dakar a bumpy and adventures drive through the middle of nowhere in about 3 hours.

This place has a beautiful setting, was well designed, but is grossly overpriced for what you get. It's entirely misleading to say breakfast is included when it's just a drink and bread. Highly expensive eggs (100 CFA in Senegal) or any other protein costs extra. For the price of this place (as expensive as Decameron or Le Mantin), it's absurd...

This must be Senegal’s most original accommodation and among some of the world’s most unique lodges. You can stay in a tree hut in a Baobab tree or in a hut on stilts out in the lagoon. Some larger family cabins are built up as large, round beehives and common to all the cabins clustered naturally into the beautiful landscape....

After struggling to find decent food and sleep for a week in Senegal, we came upon this oasis. Certainly quite expensive, it is worth it! Very isolated--in the middle of a national park- and you have the choice of a cabana in the water, in a tree, or on land...quite original. By far the best food we had in Senegal....

I spent 4 short and amazing days in the "Robinson no. 1" baobab treehouse. I came to the Collines de Nassam as a solo traveller without a huge sense of adventure. From the moment I stepped out of Dakar airport, the staff made me feel safe and at home. Although very brief, this ended up being the best holidays I...

My husband and I stayed here towards the end of our stay in Senegal visiting our daughter. We choose the lagoon hut which was large and offered a beautiful view. Pool and grounds very pretty, lots of flowers and birds of all varieties. Also enjoyed the 2 very large (4 ft?) monitor lizards that hung out in the gardens near...
