The hotel is lovely, quaint and very charming. Exactly what you are looking for the the Black Forest. It comes with a bus pass for the surrounding area and is good for further than you will want to travel. Food is excellent, reasonably priced and the service is good. Hotel Fortuna, Kirchzarten We have recently returned from a motorcycle holiday in the Black Forest and had chosen the Hotel Fortuna in the small town of Kirchzarten as our base. It seemed an ideal place to tour the southern Black Forest, the Vosges Mountains the Swiss Alps but with less traffic than it's larger neighbour, Freiburg. In reality it turned... More

We didn't stay in the hotel, but ate there twice. It's got a pleasant atmosphere, with good service - including some English-speaking waiters - and enjoyable food, typical of the area. We had the set-price menu, which was very good value, though it did not vary much.

My husband and I stayed here whilst attending Frank Kinslow's workshop. The hotel is lovely and the staff go out of their way to be accommodating and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. They spoke good English and worked very hard to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The wi fi isn't great, but if that's all there is to complain... More
