This hotel is tired in appearance, look past this and you will find excellent staff, particularly Richard and Darren and wonderful food. The golf course and facilities are excellant and the nearby Hawkstone Follies is well worth a visit.

I stayed for dinner bed and breakfast as part of a golf package. We go to Hawkestone for the golf and in the past we have probably accepted the hotel for what it is because we like the golf course. However our recent stay was less than satisfactory. The hotel is seriously in need of an overhaul, it is grubby... More

Dear guest, we are sorry to learn that your stay with us was disappointing. Refurbishment of some of our rooms and public areas is planned to take place shortly, and I do hope you will be willing to return to Hawkstone Park in the not too distant future especially as we can see that you enjoyed your golf. We booked this hotel for a last minute break. Package included bed breakfast 3 course evening meal plus a bottle of prosecco. After reading the reviews I was slightly concerned about what to expect. We arrived around 7pm entering via the side of the hotel. My heart sank as the hotel came into view I must say I agree with... More

Stayed in an upgraded suite room as was attending a wedding nearby. The room didn't exactly fit it's description. We were promised a 4 poster bed with a private balcony overlooking the golf course, and had neither. The balcony was shared with a couple next door, with a view of overgrown trees outside. The bed was large, but not a... More

The hotel is tired. The whole outside looks shabby and dated. Inside reminds you of Fawlty Towers and the 'Two Soups' sketch. Peeling paintwork, dodgy wallpaper, a lack of plug sockets, dodgy plumbing, cheap furniture, poor quality fixtures - these are just some of the problems with the rooms. You can't open the windows (we were told it was for... More

Stayed at the hotel as part of a golfing group in July and would not recommend this listing for others to stay at. It is clear that the hotel has seen better days and was very tired The food was OK but there was no vegetarian option for our group on the choices we were given. Poor selection of beers... More

Stayed at Hawkstone on Shropshire Golf Tour having played the courses a number of times in the past, courses probably as good as ever but the hotel is in need of some severe attention. Rooms are extremely tired and in need of urgent update. Pricing policy for the bars and food needs some careful re-thinking, basically the prices are outrageous... More
