The chateau is charming, very old with loads of character, our room was large, with enormous ensuite, and fabulous views. However what makes it exceptional is the warmth of the hosts, welcomed with a cold drink, made to feel very welcome in their home. Breakfast was a delight with home made jam and yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice and fruit, plus... More

We loved this private home which exudes warmth, welcome and comfort. Alain greeted us like old friends. He proudly showed around his elegantly appointed home which he shares with four lucky guests. Our room, Baroque, was more than spacious with a wonderful bed and huge bathroom. With the exception of a lone church bell, the village of Ortaffa is silent.... More

We arrived rather late from a dinner in Collioure in part because we got lost in the dark trying to follow instructions based on coming from a different direction compounded by a dying cell phone! Although the hosts were away at a wedding we were welcomed warmly by their stand-in and we found ourselves in a comfortable room on the... More

My family and I booked this wonderful chateau last minute and we arrived to be received by very welcoming and friendly hosts Michelle and Alain. The rooms were beautiful and the property itself is a delight. I see in a review before mine that someone says that they felt like staying with old friends!! We felt the same, friendly, accommodating... More

but this is the first time I can say that we felt like guests staying with old friends. Alain and Michelle are absolutely lovely. Alain is the perfect host, offering suggestions of places to visit, loaning maps and books(they have an electic and lovely selection of books), making sure we had everything we wanted. From playing soft music in the... More

This is a wonderful place to spend a weekend with your loved one or even sister. Amazing decor and lots and lots of interior decoration magazines to read. The bathrooms are to die for...but the really good thing is the breakfast and how it is served! Michelle and Alan are perfect hosts, very welcoming and informative. Couldn't rate them any... More

Don't think about going to the "chateau" that's The only advice .They have a system of check in from 6 pm a way to force you to stay cause you don't. Want to lose the 33euros of cancellation .we arrived to that old house which the owner called chateau. And I'll be honest with you it doesn't worth it.

We stayed for 7 nights at this well located property south of Perpignan and close to the Alberes Mountains. Alain & Michelle were lovely hosts offering friendly advice, good breakfasts on the terrace (Michelle's home made yoghurt, crepes and jams are very tasty!) and a welcome cup of tea after a long days walking! The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable... More

We had a lovely stay in this 12th century chateau. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming with breakfast served on the terrace. Our room (la Toscane) was very spacious with views over the town and the Pyrenees in the distance. There are quite a few steps as previously mentioned. Be aware that there is only a very small snack... More

Chambre Picasso was charming and comfortable . this is an ancient building so one must climb stairs and open unexpected doors. All the living rooms were full of treasures beautifully arranged.
