This is exactly what you wish for when booking a chambre d'hotes. A warm welcome from Pascale and Tim, a beautiful (big) courtyard garden with pool for the summer, bags of charm and lovely large bedrooms with terrific shower rooms. The rooms at Le Chai Catalan have been purpose designed for use as chambres d'hotes and it shows. They are... More

The room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. The garden and pool were tranquil and lovely. We appreciated the use of a fridge in the sitting room area to store drinks and snacks as the village is a small rural one with only one place to eat/drink. Parking our hire car in the quiet street was never a problem.... More

Thank you for your review and compliments on our b&b. I am really happy that you enjoyed its home comfort and its calm setting. I am sorry that you didn't like our continental - but copious ;-) - breakfast; I just wish you had let me know during your stay. Although we do not propose a cooked breakfast, I would... More

What can we say about this excellent B&B in Ortafa. It is quiet , friendly, beautiful garden en swimming pool, exceptional hospitality, and the breakfast is every day a surprise with local products. We highly recommended Chai Catalan Nel en Wim de Cock - Eindhoven - Holland

What can I say! Friendly, comfortable, stylish, spotless and set in a beautiful part of France. Pascale and Tim were great hosts, knowledgeable about their area, perfectly bi-lingual and helpful, nothing was too much to ask! Thank you for a lovely stay and will definitely be coming back, when I'm allowed!!

Located in the centre of the historic village of Ortaffa we where charmed by Pascal and Tim's Chamber D'hotes. The lovely breakfast that was fresh every morning, fresh bread, homemade jams and pastries enjoyed under the palm and olive trees and laden lemon tree and the charming garden was such a wonderful start to our day. Our room was beautifully... More

Many thanks for your lovely review and for being such great guests (Pablo and Colin André agree !). It always is a pleasure to be able to help our visitors make the best of their holidays in our region which has so much to offer but is less well-known than neighbouring areas. We will be happy to see you again... More

We travelled as two couples and we found Pascale had not only spotless, beautifully furnished bedrooms, with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom with a fabulous hot and powerful shower, but it was her kind hospitality, addressing every query with wonderful recommendations that blew us away. Nothing was too much trouble, she was so very helpful. Her wealth... More

I've just returned from a 7-night stay at Le Chai Catalan - what a gorgeous place! I happily spent hours in the garden, but it is also brilliantly placed for visits to the beach, mountains, interesting towns/cities and great places to eat. Breakfasts were delicious, eaten on the new (mosaic) patio area, next to the lemon tree and its intoxicating... More

We stayed with Pascale this summer, and we absolutely loved it. She's a great host, and makes a mean breakfast :-) The Chai Catalan is a charming and beautiful B&B, with nice rooms and very comfy bathrooms. It's clean and quiet. The garden is lovely and has a swimming pool where you can sit and read books, and cool down... More

This B&B was dreamy! I have only good things to say about our stay here. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfy, the showers were large and hot. The place itself is wonderfully remodeled and you could kill hours on the terrace and in the pool. Breakfasts were wonderful - fresh bread and pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit,... More

Thank you so much for your very kind review and all your compliments. We made our way here by train to Perpignan and then taxi to Ortaffa, through wonderful country full of food, much of which made it to the breakfast table.
