The Edelweiss Lodge & Spa combines the charm and perfect location of the original Edelweiss Hotel with a refined sense of service and updated amenities. Located right on the slopes for true ski-in/ski-out convenience, our spacious condominiums are beautifully appointed with great views of the slopes and the valley. The new "Gondolita" has a terminal beside the Edelweiss and delivers Edelweiss guests straight to the resort's Children Ski School in less than one minute. On-site amenities include an exercise room, cedar sauna, boot lockers, ski valet service, ski shop, and underground parking. The Spa offers a range of quality therapies and the restaurant (The Blonde Bear Tavern) is a great place for an apres ski by the fire or romantic dinner.

Detailed Reviews
The Edelweiss Lodge is first class in every respect: Service, rooms, location, amenities. Conveniently located on the mountain, our room had spectacular views. Gear up in their comfortably appointed boot room, walk out the door and grab your skis from the attached ski shop/valet, and hop right on the gondola - - literally steps from the door. Perfect for kids, as the gondola drops off right at the door of the kids ski school. We had our kids in ski school in minutes flat! Loved the apres ski in the bar sitting by the roaring fireplace, and the on site restaurant is first class. We will be back!!

Researched all the lodging options in TSV and decided to try the Edelweiss. Glad we did. The staff were very helpful and friendly, our unit was comfortable and nice, and the location is the best available IMO. There are boot lockers with driers provided for guests and a ski/rental shop on site, so you simply grab your gear, step onto the slope right next to the property (no walking at all), ski down to the ski school area, take the lift back up, and then ski down to the main lift. At the end of the day you can ski right back to the Edelweiss, store your skis/poles in the provided rack, take a few steps into the boot room, and you're done. Very convenient and easy for families.
We had a great stay and will be back.

What a great place to accommodate 11 family members. The 3 bedroom unit was roomy enough for 9 of the group and a one bedroom, two bath for the overflow. The kitchen was roomy and well equipped and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals.
This is a ski in/ski out and located right next to the gondola where the children could go to ski school. The location, the nice condition of the units and the friendly staff who responded to every request quickly really made our stay enjoyable.

+1
Edelweiss Lodge & Spa is a gem. Affordable lodging, including fireplace, kitchen and washing/drying machines if desired. I'll include photos below of the one and two bedroom rentals I've had. The lodge has a small gym, outdoor hot tub, and spa with massage therapists. Underground parking, great restaurant, convivial bar scene. The Edelweiss is easy walking distance from ski lift (and donut stand and Bump's Breakfast Burritos). The lodge's small staff is highly efficient, attentive, and welcoming. If you want a place where everyone knows your name, this is it.

Just back from our visit to New Mexico, and wanted to say that key staff Kent and Erin were terrific in helping me and my wife during our visit to Taos Ski Valley. The Edelweiss is in a lovely location and is very well-appointed, with an underground garage and flexible Club Room facility to help with a variety of needs. We really appreciated all the help, and we look forward to our next visit to the beautiful location.

Great location, great staff, great mountain! Steps away from slopes and shops, super convenient parking garage, very useful boot and ski lockers. Our one bedroom was perfect and AS ADVERTISED. Clean, fully equipped kitchen with high quality dishes, utensils, etc). Comfortable beds. Washer and Drier. Perhaps best of all the staff(Kent and Erin) was super helpful, friendly and honest. They told me upfront unsolicited one of the nearby lifts was closed early for the season before making the resy. They also checked in periodically to see if everything ok. Very accommodative to a few of my requests. Cant wait to go back next ski season and see if Slim Slidell is still laid out top of chair 2!

I can't express how much this trip was unforgettable for my kids first ski experience! I wanted it to be unforgettable and spent a lot of time planning it. Kent was amazing and offered tons of assistance in helping me plan an amazing holiday trip for my kids. It was beyond a 10 out of 10 experience!!! I didn't want a car and have to constantly haul my kids and family everywhere. We stayed in the perfect ski in/ski out resort next the views of the mountains and were able to ski right next to the hotel and store our skis' in the hotel. It was just amazing, convenience and allowed us to truly enjoy your time skiing within out dealing with tons of logistics. We did't wait on any lines at all and the local businesses were super kind and the ambience of the area was super chill and family friendly!
Also, going to amazing trip during COVID wasn't ideal but I felt extremely safe being that the hotel and town are mandating masks which helped me feel safe for my family!

From it's premier location in Taos Ski Valley we were pampered by an attentive staff (thanks Erin!) and food service team (thanks Michael and Charissa!). Our room was updated with a kitchen with all the chef's toys. All this plus views and the soothing sounds of the Rio Hondo. Our go-to location in TSV - we shall return!

Very nice lodge and very clean. We stayed in a very nice clean room with a private big bathroom. Decor and furniture was nice. They offer private garage parking. Our breakfast was delicious.
My only negative feedback would be not having a mini fridge in the room. Plenty of space for one!

Edelweiss is a great spot. Ski in and out, great apres ski bar and restaurant. The staff is wonderful, the spa is good and the ski room is great.
The unit needs some updating but in general it was nice and clean. I have stayed at Edelweiss many times over the years and it does not disappoint.
