staff was friendly, but building is a little rough around the edges, layout of hotel and room was odd, beds were very basic. This place has potential, just needs a little TLC. wifi was free but wasn't very good. The river nearby is a nice touch

I stayed at Amizette 4 years ago and had a wonderful stay, so I was very dissapointed to have an experience on the complete other end of the spectrum. We had propane fumes outside of our room (#1), which the manager insisted was the dryer vent. Turns out it was propane. Therefore in the morning, breakfast had to be cooked... More

Breakfast wasn't that good, room needed some work, and staff was a little strange. Room was clean but needed some work and had a strange layout. Just didn't feel comfortable around the staff, seemed like he didn't want to be there either. Had to check in by 9pm and I'm glad we did, not staffed well. Stay somewhere else, this... More

If your looking for a five star hotel, keep looking. This is a small historic hotel with the feel of a bread and breakfast. The rooms are far from fancy, but are kept very clean. There was a fridge, a microwave and free WiFi. The second best part of our stay was sleeping with the windows open, and listening to the... More

We stayed here over the weekend and fell in love with Amizette Inn. The location is perfect for a true getaway weekend. Situated on the banks of the Taos River (small like a creek but swiftly running). Our room was #9 and had a small window in the sitting area over looking the river. Opening the window brought in the... More

FIRST AND FOREMOST, if you are looking for a place to stay near Red River, this is NOT the place to book! The wife, for no other reason than she just wanted to stay the first night of our northern NM family vacation in or near Red River to try to relive a childhood memory of the town (thankfully it... We were very lucky to find the Amizette Inn. On short notice, with no experience in Taos, we chose the Amizette and it was great. Very close to skiing, great breakfast, quaint room. We had a few changes in our plans after arriving and the staff did a great job of accommodating us and both in terms of convenience and... More

I had read some negative reviews, service wise, before I booked. There weren't any rooms left right in the ski area, so we booked this with some trepidation. Our fears & bad reviews were proven wrong. Beth the manager couldn't have been more hospitable. Every request was met with a smile & a helpful attitude. The room was a typical... More

Paid for 3 nights in advance. Huge snow storm upon arrival in Taos. Two police cars advised drivers not to attempt the Mt. road due to white out. Despite this the inn keepers wouldn't give a partial discount for the 1 missed night, instead saying "You should have come anyway." Had to stay in Taos. The next day cleared. Went... More

We were excited to find an affordable place in Taos Ski area to get an early start on our Wheeler Peak hike the next day. We were greeted by the innkeeper and told breakfast the next morning would be at 7 AM sharp. We were really looking forward to it based on other travelers' reviews. Unfortunately, at 7 AM there...
