I have been to the buffet several times. It's difficult to find people that can speak English well. This hotel does have English speaking staff. The service here is great. I found food here I couldn't find anywhere else in the city. Great place to take a break for Chinese food.
I stayed several times in this Hotel for business purposes. The rooms and other facilities comply mostly with the standard you expect for a five star hotel in China. If you are looking for western food, this place is in my experience the best location in town. Only the management level of the staff speaks English. I look forward to come back.
2 co-workers and my self were sent to China for two weeks to do site auditsof project we had under construction. After a bumpy 2 1/2 hour flight from Beijing and a 30 minute drive from a very small airport we were not expecting a very good hotel. Boy were we wrong!!! This was by far the best hotel I have stayed at anywhere in the world. The staff was utmost professional, the restaurant was 5 stars the food amazing the deserts rivaled Paris, the rooms were better than most apartments I've been in. The manager on our departure asked me to sit with him for a few moments. He pulled out a pad and started writing answer to his questions of what can he do to improve, to make it more friendly to westerners, to be more open to Americans. I told him you have very little to improve this is 5 stars. Only problem....they can not handle American Credit cards but the atm across the lobby did. So not a huge problem other than that.…
