Epako is both safari lodge and 11,000 hectare game reserve in the Erongo Region of Namibia, between Windhoek and Swakopmund. We stayed here the first night of our nine day Namibia adventure, and wish we could have stayed longer. As a welcome, we were nuzzled by a young giraffe, then led to a deck overlooking a watering hole visited mornings...

This lodge has lovely rooms and the food and service were outstanding. Watching the animals at the waterhole from the restaurant was a great experience, however we were not able to see many on our drives or walks. The animals here are extremely scared of people and cars, unlike we have seen anywhere else in Namibia. On our walk we...

Beautiful and comfortable accommodations. The rooms had outstanding comfort and decor. The chef, Kevin, from Mauritius prepared world-class meals three times a day. We had interesting conversations with Constantine, the GM, and enjoyed Dave and our very personable guide, Heinrich. A wonderful property and I hope to experience another stay there.

Having read some old reviews of Epako, we were concerned before arrival at this lodge. We were blown away by our 2 night stay at Epako. TripAdvisor needs to dump those old reviews because this lodge has been fully renovated and is a fantastic 5-star experience. The staff was fantastic from management to servers and butlers. Having been on a...

Very comfortable and modern deluxe rooms, extremely attentive five-star service and the best food we had in three weeks in Namibia, cooked by the lodge's Mauritian chef. Very nice game drive to Bushman engravings, we saw lots of animals and a lot was explained by our very informative guide. Our only complaint is that compared to other lodges it feels...

The friendly staff ensures a truly outstanding quality and extremely personalised five star service. A great place to rest and enjoy in comfort and style. The chef is really great and made gastronomic meals for us. The décor of the rooms is modern and very comfortable. The main lodge is spectacular and felt extremely cosy.

The best place to enjoy peace and quietness between birds and animals. Swimming in a nice pool looking in the eyes of a giraffe, while baby rhino, guarded by his mother ,enjoys teasing big male rhinos . The most beautiful smile welcomes us at the entrance of the park, followed by big smiles at the entrance. A place with taste...

Our stay in the recently renovated Epako Game lodge was a perfect way to end our 2 week foto safari in Namibia. The hotel's main building is designed flawlessly with a "Ralph Lauren comes to Africa" feel of luxury and attention to detail. The staff delivers the highest level of service equal to the finest luxury resorts anywhere in the...

Stayed here in June 2015 with the family. We arrived to find lunch waiting for us...and a very special lunch as well. The service never let up from there...with everyone working seamlessly for the duration of the trip. Our room was upgraded to the Loft Suite which had a great view across the dry riverbed. The decor is minimalistic modern...
