Me, my husband and son stopped at the Sitwell last night 06/02/16 after a family party. Booked a double room bed and breakfast for £60 on Late Rooms. We are only local but have a one year old and decided it would be easier than messing around with taxis. It was so easy and straight forward to check in. We... More

I stayed for one night with my son on a trip up north and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst I agree with some of the reviews that the place is a little dated, this added to the character. I found everything to be serviceable, immaculately clean, ample parking, friendly staff and good food. For the rate we were charged I feel... More

A great find, am absolutely amazed that this hotel has bad reviews. We went during a quiet period for hotels. We was greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room promptly. We was given a sea of information about the hotel and surrounding area by one helpful staff member. There was a deal in the restaurant that included wine... More

Overall, it was ok for a 1 night stay for a party. The staff were friendly and the food was very good at the function we attended. The bed was also comfortable. The rooms are in need of refurbishment and the drinks from the bar in the function room weren't great (i.e. flat).

We booked a weekend stay for myself and my wife while visiting friends. Unfortunately we received a less than warm welcome from the hotel staff even some off hand remarks about halal food. We soon realised why when one by one a large group of so called "patriots" arrived for a conference by a group called "Britain First" they were... More

The hotel itself is very tired and dated, the food wasn't bad but what really lets it down us the fact that they allowed Britain First to hold its annual conference there so you would question their judgement and position on equal opportunities.

Went there with my 2 sisters and met up with 8 cousins. The communal rooms were lovely and welcoming, with tasteful Christmas decorations. The bar area was spacious and comfortable. We stayed for dinner which was tasty and moderately priced, wine included. The bedroom was large enough for the 3 of us with comfortable beds. I would recommend staying here... More

Eleven cousins meeting up for the first time in years. We needed a hotel with family rooms, good food and reasonable prices. We found all we needed in this friendly venue. Great lunch of fresh sandwiches and lots of choices of fillings. Evening meal was excellent and included wine in the price. Breakfast didn't disappoint either. The staff were extremely accommodating... More
