The summer village was truly a lovely experience that didn’t disappoint. Maria, the receptionist is just so helpful and welcoming, as all of the staff were. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we had fresh towels daily, we even had swans made from our towels which was a lovely touch. The room was lovely and spacious and a powerful shower. There is a kettle in the room along with a fridge but no tea and coffee is provided so don’t forget your morning brews. The restaurant again was spotless and constantly cleaned. There was a variety of food to choose from not so much vegetarian choice but was enough to have a meal. The pool and loungers was great! Our first holiday where we didn’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn and scramble for a lounger. 9am and there were plenty to choose from. The entertainment in the evenings is enough, some nights are more chilled but others there is events on. The hotel is perfect for a chilled holiday and not wild. They offer plenty of excursions through the hotel that are much cheaper that the holiday reps and just as good if not exactly the same. We will definitely becoming back to the hotel, we would have been back next year but we’re expecting a baby and they would be a little too young to fly. So we definitely will be booking for September 2024 at the summer village. We had a lovely holiday and very grateful to all the staff that made our experience great. :) From The Thornburys :) x

100% recommend! Lovely hotel, rooms are lovely and cleaners are great! All staff very friendly, especially bar night staff, had a few good laughs with them. More quiet side of the island but only 10 min walk to the beach with a few beach front bars and restraunts. We hired beds for the day on the beach only €5-€8 all day! Car rentals around corner from hotel and bus stop to Kos town at the top of the road only €2.10 (would highly recommend going there) All inclusive food was ok, I’m fussy eater but they always had spag Bol on and chips etc. Basic drinks are free but definitely done strong! Enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Enjoyed a lovely week here at Summer Village. This complex is small and is set away from the town in beautiful countryside, our views from our room were amazing. It is very clean. The rooms are comfortable house keeping excellent. Huge fan on ceiling and air con kept the room cool and pleasant. Mosquito nets on doors and windows. Kettle in room but take tea and coffee as none supplied. The safe is located in reception which we hired without any issues. Pool area was a bit cramped and very hot so we walked to the sandy beach every day which was much cooler, takes about 15 minutes. Beach is beautiful we walked to the left and hired some fantastic cabanas, 8 euros with two beds. Enjoyed a nice massage on the beach too. Walk to the town takes about 20 minutes, there's a handful of restaurants and bars. There's a bus stop at the end of the road great service to Kos town. We hired bikes one day for 4 euros and cycled to Tingaki and back which was beautiful through the countryside. Tingaki is a bit livelier we enjoyed a couple of nights there got a taxi cost about 12 euros each way. Taxi from Kos town cost 20 euros we ate in a beautiful fish restaurant up some cobbled steps think it was called Fish Tavern, one of the best meals we have ever had so would recommend. The staff are nice. Maria, what can we say, she is a beautiful soul and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. She is a credit to the hotel. Thank you Maria. The food is ok, we could generally find something we enjoyed. Wine seemed better from the restaurant than the main bar which is my next point. The all inclusive drinks were an issue for us, so much so that we hardly stayed in the hotel at night. I know you don't expect great drinks on AI but we found everything watered down and awful. The beer gassy and disgusting. Even the premium drinks didn't taste great. I didn't chance a cocktail which you had to pay for. The AI ends at 10.30 when the entertainment is in full swing so you then end up paying for drinks. It did not represent true All Inclusive to us which was the only disappointing aspect of the hotel and reason I gave a 4 rating and not 5. We had a fantastic holiday in Kos, I would recommend this hotel as it has many positive aspects but don't expect much from the quality of drinks available.

Me and my partner have just returned from our second holiday to the Summer Village and loved it. We first went in September 2021 and it was a lovely surprise that all the staff remembered us on our return this year! Both times we stayed ten nights. The hotel is located in Marmari which is a quiet village and a great place to relax. There is a couple of supermarkets and some tavernas. Cavaraki is a bar just a 5 minute walk from the hotel which is lovely. Kos town is only 2.10€ on the bus from Marmari. We went into Kos town a couple of times and it’s a lovely day out with lots of historical things to do and great shopping and bars! This hotel is perfect for what you pay for. The food is lovely and it changes most days. There is lots of traditional Greek food which is perfect for us because we love Greek food! I particularly liked the Greek night when there was a chef making gyros for the guests! Very tasty! The drinks in the bar are fine, they are the same standard I’ve had in any all inclusive hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff in the restaurant and the bar are all friendly and very hard working. The hotel rooms are lovely and modern and spacious. The shower in the bathroom is a rainfall shower and very powerful! The rooms get cleaned daily and fresh towels everyday also. We definitely enjoyed our second visit to the Summer Village and already looking to book our third for next year!

Just returned home after 7 day stay. Positives :The greeting from reception when we arrived was welcoming the reception area was modern light and spacious. The complex itself is lovely although bar area is a little tired. Bar staff were very friendly. The maid attends the room everyday changes the beds and towels but general cleaning was very brief. The dining room was ok , food was ok even for the fussy eaters me included. Found it strange only had ice cream available for evening meal. Entertainment 3 times Greek night and karaoke were abit disappointing the singers on Saturday day were absolutely fantastic. Negatives: food wasn’t really suitable for children, DON’T be fooled by the snacks available yes they are but you have to pay for them . All inclusive finished at 10.30pm after then drinks chargeable. Cocktails are also not included in the all inclusive. Finally there is a lack of toilet facilities. 2 toilets by the bar area were absolutely disgusting no lights on during the day it’s pitch black. you have to put all paper in a bin that never seems to get emptied staff in the bar not interested. In all honesty the holiday was ok for what I paid but won’t return.

A spotlessly clean traditional hotel in Marmari. We stayed here for two weeks and had an absolutely wonderful holiday. There is very little to do in the surrounding area so be prepared for a relaxing holiday. The hotel offers many excursions that you can book with the receptionists and the bus to Kos is a five minute walk away and costs €2.10 each way. Maria, the lovely bubbly afternoon receptionist suggested a few trips and one that we booked was the Greek night which we would highly recommend but all the trips we booked were enjoyable and good value for money. Crista, the morning receptionist is wonderful! Friendly and helpful and totally genuine. We were sad to say goodbye to Crista! We must say though that all the staff were friendly and the best we have ever experienced. The food in the hotel was outstanding! I am a coeliac and need gluten free food. This was no problem. I had bread, biscuits and gluten free pasta. If I wanted anything specific they would make it for me and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. There was very little in the way of entertainment but this is going to change next season as they look into a larger programme I have marked this down to four stars only because of the quality of the soft drinks. We are not heavy drinkers and don’t drink spirits so were disappointed in the quality of soft drinks. Most people buy them from the shop in the hotel which kind of defeats the object of going all inclusive. The all inclusive also finishes at 10.30 which didn’t bother us. We thought it was a good thing as the bar was not busy until the early hours. You can purchase drinks after 10.30 but the majority of people leave the bar then. Cleaning staff do a wonderful job and always have a cheery good morning. If you so book this hotel you won’t be disappointed. You will have a very nice, relaxing holiday. Miss you already Crista! 😀

Firstly I want to say a massive, shout out to the receptionist Maria, absolutely lovely girl, nothing was too much trouble, always gave a warm, friendly and genuine greeting, she's an asset to the hotel. The hotel rooms were cleaned every day and the housekeeping staff were friendly. We stayed 4 nights, myself, my partner and or friends (another couple). The hotel was clean and staff all friendly, the owner was in the bar most evenings and chatted to guests, many of the other guests we spoke to were on 5th or more visits. We all enjoyed our stay for the main part but unsure we would stay again more of what we were personally wanting from our holiday than the hotels fault. There was one Greek night of entertainment put on on the 4 nights we were there, no other entertainment. Never seen many places that done entertainment on our travels either. The all inclusive finished at 10.30 and we had to pay for drinks after that, also only local soft or alcoholic drinks allowed on AI. Not much of a party atmosphere at the hotel at night, no one dancing etc. The food I really enjoyed but my fussy travel companions not so much, the choices are small but the quality is good, no "normal" choices like chicken nuggets, burgers or pizza for our less adventurous eaters, these could be purchased at the hotel bar for an additional cost (prices from around €6, and large potions, and were really tasty). The shop at the front of hotel was very handy and the girl who worked there was very nice. In all great for a relaxing break and would return if I wanted a few days sun and relaxation.

We arrived late and was given a packed lunch , was ok nothing to bad, the hotel is great , clean and well looked after , pool area although small never had a issue getting a sun lounger, food was really good , lots of choice and hot , drinks were what they were not to strong but drinkable . The only issue i have with the all inclusive package is at 10:30pm they stop the drinks but the bar stays open until 2am but you then have to pay , and also the bar snacks are chargeable , i feel this should be in your package as they normally are in other locations iv been to. Staff are very helpful and rooms are cleaned daily

This is an excellent, small family run hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It is spotlessly clean and all of the staff go out of their way to provide an excellent service. The food is also excellent - lots of tasty local dishes and (fortunately) no fast food in sight. All very fresh and well presented. Pool area is also spotless. Hotel us in a quiet location but within walking distance of the beautiful beach and other restaurants and bsrs. There is some evening entertainment but not every night, however this suited us. We hired a car for 4 days and saw lots of other places on the island. The only reason for giving 4 stars are the all-inclusive drinks. I have been on many all-inclusive holidays and I know that drinks aren't always the best. Althlugh the holiday was very good value, it might be a good idea to offer an upgrade to named brands and mixers on arrival. That said, I had an enjoyable 14 night stay at this hotel and I would definitely return.
