First of all, I want to mention that the standard room we booked didn’t seem dirty or anything. It was more or less like on the pictures. However, the towels were simply horrible. As a person who travels a lot and has seen over 40 hotels only in Myanmar (expensive hotels as well as budget ones), I consider that it’s showing disregard to your customers when you offer towels like the ones that you can see on my picture. I’m sorry to say that but we’re not dogs to use that kind of towels that obviously need to be changed. Despite the mention on Booking.com that the rooms have toiletries, it actually has only a peace of soap and toilet paper. No shower gel, shampoo or toothbrushes the way it is in 99% of hotels in Myanmar. When we asked about the toothbrushes, we were told that they don’t provide them. To be fair, I have to mention that a staff member came in the evening with the toothbrushes. As you can find it in other reviews, the area is pretty noisy. You can’t sleep because of the dogs barking a few times during the night. The beds are pretty hard and the pillows too big and too hard for us. We decided not to take the “great” breakfast everyone was advertising. I had some coffee (which was only bitter without much aroma) and that was it. The breakfast consists of 2 slices of banana cake, some bread with a piece of sandwich cheese on it and fried rice. The hotel was totally empty, probably because of the Covid-19. Therefore, the atmosphere was depressing. It’s hard to describe but I was happy to leave it. Conclusion: for 15$, you can find much better in Kalaw. You may have to add 2 or 3$ but when you think about your sleep and some minimal comfort, I think it’s better to pay a few dollars more. …
Not a bad word to be said about this place. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfasts are sublime, the surroundings are peaceful and tranquil. We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for a week. Kalaw centre is an easy 15-20 min walk. We really didn’t want to leave, you can also book your trekking guide to Inle lake here.

We stayed there for a week . A bit far from the city center but good for the people who like to go for a walk in the evenings .Breakfast there is good and staffs are helpful . We quite like the guard .
I really don’t like to leave bed recommendations however if I’m staying somewhere I do want to know if there are any bed bugs in beds. The place itself is okay, stuff is friendly and rooms are clean. However when I found out that there were bed bugs in my bed it was already midnight. I was watching movie on a bed and there were some little creatures walking on my pillow. I first thought it were just small insects but they kept coming. When I looked more closer I realised that it might be bed bugs as I never seen them before. So I run outside to find someone and luckily the guard was sleeping outside. So I showed him my bed and told him than both of the beds in my room has bedbugs. He was friendly to give me keys of an other room. So I moved all my cloth and checked the beds. It seems that there were no bed bugs in it. However, my night was awful. I kept waking up because I thought the little creatures are walking on me and biting me. And when I did closed my eyes I kept having nightmares about bed bugs. In the morning they changed the sheets and told me that it never happens before and it might be because the windows were open or because I might brought them with me. Or maybe those are not the bed bugs because it never happened before. I showed them the picture I took of one of this bugs, they will leave that room empty for few weeks so no one will stay there. While I think the mattresses should be properly cleaned at least. At the end I still needed to pay the full amount for my stay because I changed the room in the middle of the night. They might give me discount if I stayed in that room 8( I fount the solution to move to an other room at least what they could do and not a luxury that I had. Additionally, because of roadworks or something there was no electricity between 12:00- 18:30. Also hot shower is only available between 21:00 en 6:00, they say due to low water pressure. So it’s up to you if you like to stay there but you defiantly should check the beds if you do. …
