CLARENDON COTTAGES - NOT FAR FROM MELBOURNE, VERY CLOSE TO PERFECT! This quiet garden retreat in the Dandenong Ranges is ideal for those who love quality, self contained, B&B accommodation and a beautiful setting. You will enjoy the privacy of your own cottage, the seclusion of our two acre property and the abundance of the local wildlife. If you are looking for a little more action there are wonderful walking trails to explore in Sherbrooke Forest and the Yarra Ranges National Park or perhaps challenge your fitness with a hike up the 1000 Kokoda steps at the foot of the mountain. Our boutique guest accommodation in the heart of the Dandenongs consists of two charming 1 bedroom cottages and a two bedroom cottage in a secluded, peaceful and romantic setting. Gas log fires, spas, fully equipped kitchens and private decks are just some of the many features in our Stables & Camellia Cottages. English country gardens and meadow nestle amongst a huge variety of beautiful century old trees. The cottages are within easy walking distance of Sassafras Village, the home of the famous Miss Marples Tearoom (best scones on the mountain) and Sherbrooke Forest where you can see the Lyrebirds wandering happily. In the Dandenongs there are many things to do in the vicinity of Clarendon. Within minutes you can be wandering around the lively and colourful Villages of Sassafras, Olinda & Mt Dandenong or be visiting six out of the eight Great Gardens of Victoria - National Rhododendron Garden, Alfred Nicholas Garden, George Tindale Garden, William Ricketts Sanctuary or Cloudehill Gardens. Just 10 minutes away there's the legendary 'Puffing Billy' steam train in Belgrave, the Kokoda Trail 1000 steps and the Sky High Observatory at the top of Mt Dandenong. Many antique shops house treasures next to contemporary galleries and studios filled with craft, sculpture and decorator items created by the many artists who have made the Dandenongs their home. The Dandenong Ranges is also home to a great number of restaurants, cafes and tearooms like Wild Oak, Miss Marples, King Henry, The Cuckoo, Ranges and Copperfields suiting a wide range of palates and pockets! Tesselaar's Tulip Farm and u-pick berries and cherries are a short drive and the world renowned Yarra Valley Wineries just a 40 minute drive. For our overseas and interstate guests, the Dandenong Ranges is only a 60 minutes' drive from the Melbourne International Airport and 45 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. We invite you to come and enjoy the unique experience of the Bed & Breakfast culture in the magnificent Dandenong Ranges.

Find it very hard to think of any negatives. Lots of positives: excellent hosts, gorgeous well kept cottages and surroundings, private but close to all that you’d want to do, yummy breakfast goodies. Will definitely be back.
