This is just a wonderful hotel - everything about it is great. The property is amazing (good for lengthy morning and evening walks if you are up for it and their vineyards surround you). Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Food and their wines are fabulous. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Andrea has everything under perfect control and takes the time to chat to her guests, give expert advice on wines and makes everyone feel comfortable. There are lots of places to sit and relax - both inside and outside (great spot for Tuscany in winter too!) and for us, a big bonus, they are wonderfully pet friendly. This hotel is chic and modern whilst at the same time it feels like a family gathering. We had the most wonderful stay and will certainly return. Oh and the massages are incredible. Christina is magic! It was one of the best massages I have ever had. Lots of attention to safety (ref health) and so we felt very comfortable being there. This is a hotel you can seriously enjoy throughout the year.

One of the most peaceful places I've ever stayed at. Get a vineyard suite if you can. Breakfast on your patio overlooking the vineyard is a memory you'll never forget. Can't say enough great things about this place.

Amazing stay at the resort. It was beautiful and all staff were really attentive! Highly recommend and would definitely go back. Oscar and Basit were our waiters throughout the evening and always making us laugh. Andrea the receptionist was also brilliant!

We've stayed as Conti di San Bonifacio for the second time and we loved our stay again, the wineyard is just stunning and beautiful. Staff was friendly same as last time, although it seamed that the hotel was a bit low on staff this time (server at breakfast had to prepare the hot food in the kitchen as well, wherefore the service was terribly slow - not that we were in a hurry but we were ultimately sitting there for 2.5 hours). We've got a free upgrade this time which we very much appreciated. The room was again lovely decorated, had a breathtaking view and was clean. Food was good but not as outstanding as last time. The menu seemed to be smaller and to us it was less appealing, guess because it was not high season (last year in summer I recall every day had a special menu of the day, this only a fixed menu was available). We also asked for the wine pairing dinner - as that was a great experiance last time - but somehow it got forgotten.

Beautiful location with view of tuscan hillside. Peaceful stay. Overpriced and understaffed although staff did their best to cover all guests needs. Wifi barely working outside of the room and not enough marketing and focus on the vineyard and cantina at all. We did not buy wine at this vineyard. Target market is weddings and not tourism.

We‘ve spent three nights here and it was awesome. Exactly how you picture it. Very nice rooms, beautiful estate, lovely pool area and georgeous dinning area outside in the grass and with the beautiful sunset. Breakfast has plenty of choices, all fresh and many things home-made. Dinner the same, very delicious, every day a different daily special with as much as possible from their own garden. One night we tried their wine pairing dinner to try their wines. Service is outstanding in any regard. Got offered a free upgrade to the master suite for one night. Wifi could be better though. We enjoyed and loved our stay very much!

My partner and I stayed at Conti di San Bonifacio Wine Resort for one night to discover a new part of Tuscany, and overall, I felt it was a great hotel in a very special place surrounded by vineyards. We went in the off-season, and were able to snag a relatively cheap room through the Small Luxury Hotels of the World association. The package we bought came with an upgrade and we were given one of the two vineyard-facing suites. I think that is their top level, and it is obvious. The room has amazing view over their vineyards when you were tucked away from everyone else so there was privacy. The room is very tastefully designed and the bathroom is huge. They also have very nice toiletries that I wasn’t familiar with before. The scenery and the idea of staying in the vineyard is great. Vines go as far as the eye can see. It’s a bit of a trek to find this hotel, but it’s worth it. The restaurant located in the hotel is delectable, and has a lot of their own wines as well as a very good wine list of other Italian options. We also arranged a wine tasting on the deck near the restaurant and it was great! Great surroundings.

Travelers, please beware. Conti di San Bonifacio does a great job in marketing and creating the allure of a beautiful, hillside winery and retreat in Tuscany; the grounds look beautiful. However, in reaching out to their team to cancel our honeymoon, sadly, due to COVID-19 and travel restrictions and health risks, their response was: "Regarding your deposit, as you know we are unable to make refunds as per our Hotel policy." I can see if we were still coming to Italy... wanted to stay somewhere else, and gave them little notice. However, I shared that we would love to book at a later date, but that we would like to fully cancel and start fresh when the world has calmed down. The Deputy Manager on staff has doubled down on "hotel policy," ignoring the force majeure (unforeseeable circumstances that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract) that will preclude us from going to Italy in the foreseeable future (from Hawaii, mind you, 8,000 miles away). The other three hotels we booked - in Bellagio, Cinque Terre, and Florence - all got back to us with full refunds and messages that essentially say, "sorry to hear, we get it, can't wait for you to rebook with us." Conti di San Bonifacio got back to us and essentially shared that our deposit was more important to them than our experience, contract or no contract, honeymoon or no honeymoon. This is a poor display from a hospitality organization that claims superior, world class service and experience. I am sure people can go and stay at Conti di San Bonifacio and have a great time; I am sure the grounds are beautiful, the suites luxurious, the food wonderful, and the wine amazing. However, what they still need help understanding is that the customer experience must always come first - that is where their reputation, credibility, and integrity will be earned. And that 700 Euro up front would have been 3500 Euro this summer or fall, if only the customer and the customer experience was first. Holding deposits during a global pandemic, and referring to your hotel policy, is a trite, short-term business strategy that puts the core values and ethos of Conti di San Bonifacio on display. It is my hope that they can evolve from their near-sightedness and evaluate whether or not they are truly world class.

We went here for our Honeymoon, it is the most beautiful perfect place I have ever stayed. The location is breath taking and the hotel and rooms are amazing. We had a free upgrade which was such a nice touch, overlooking the vineyards with a glass of red reading a book was just wonderful. The food is fabulous and the wine equally as good. Would highly recommend this place, our favourite spot in Italy.

Cannot begin to tell you how gorgeous and peaceful this property is. Located on a tiny hilltop with unmatched scenery you can contemplate from every corner of the hotel Very few rooms, all unique and decorated with great taste The service is impeccable from check in to check out, the food is delicious and the wine selection hits every spot. Small, traditional and elegant.. To me, this hotel is the definition of luxury.. and yet, its definitely not the most expensive in the area.
