We moved to Dartmouth just over a week ago and our new neighbors brought us here for a treat after spending 11 days cleaning and painting. We were greeted by very friendly and accommodating staff and had a drink outside in the garden before perusing the menu. A small but comprehensive menu with a handful of specials. I picked the... We are currently staying near this pub and have had 2 wonderful meals here during our week away. The food is of a very high quality and we were made to feel very welcome. We thought the menu was well priced. We can't comment on the puddings as we were too full after our starters and mains! The menu is,... More

Staying locally at mounts farm campsite, we were looking for a good family meal close by. I am glad that we rang and booked a table as it is clearly popular. The food was clearly home cooked with care and quality. Lots of choice and great value. The friendly and attentive bar staff well worth a mention too. Many thanks.

Stayed locally with family and dog and this was the only place to eat within walking distance. But the reason why we ate there five nights out of seven was that Monday night it was closed and Thursday night my son-in-law wanted to watch his beloved football team on TV. Every other night we were treated to freshly cooked, non-fast... More

My partner, our dog Buster and I recently returned from an amazing week camping at Mounts Farm in East Allington. We discovered we could walk from the campsite, through a woodyard and across some lovely fields to the most welcoming pub/restaurant. We were immediately welcomed by Adrian and Bramble the dog. All three of us were welcome inside and out... More

Could not recommend this pub enough. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Possibly one of the best Sunday roasts in Devon, with generous portions. Happy adults and happy kids. Thanks Ian & Adrian

Booked here for Sunday lunch during a weekend break at half term, which also happened to be Valentine's Day. The welcome and service during our meal was outstanding, attentive whilst not overbearing. We enjoyed starters to share and a mixture of the Sunday roasts on offer including the vegetarian option. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. No... More

We rode on horseback here to have Sunday lunch and apart from being put in a strange little room at the back, we had an excellent meal. Horses enjoyed the attention in the car park and we liked the fact that the roast beef was pink and not burnt to a cinder, the veg were good and best of all... More

So attentive and the food and service was exceptional. Bar Snacks before lunch. Fresh Vegetables and nothing was too much trouble. Relaxed warm and friendly atmosphere. We have visited before and will certainly return. Greatly recommend this pub.

New owners provide excellent service. At last, a sensible chef who knows how to cook sensibly portioned, attractive plates of food. Perhaps I would like another beer on tap, but that's me! Lovely welcoming coal fire. Picturesque setting in shadow of church. Whilst not our local, shall be regular visitors. Highly recommend.
