We stayed for a week Glamping in Capalbio and it was a case of goods and bads. First off, having a shower, toilet, kitchen, aircon, and 3 beds in a sturdy tent is a real luxury. We were 20 metres from the beach and 2 private beach clubs where parasols and loungers could be rented were right there as well. The campsite had a minimarket and restaurant, so everything you need is there. The train lines are closeby so they could be heard, but the loudest noises were from the preparation of the beaches with excavators and heavy vehicles at 6:30am at the weekend. Normally even in windy conditions the tent is quiet, but in one certain direction the whole tent flaps loudly, so that for one night we hardly slept. We also had some Italian neighbours who played music until midnight. So for the actual amenitiey 5 stars, but the experience 3 stars.

The experience was simply amazing , nestled in the wood of Capalbio one step from the most beautiful beach in Italian Tuscany region . If you like nature you must spend some time there .The tent lodges were perfect fully equipped but simple at the same time . lovely

At the beginning od September i was , with a friend, at Capabio Glamping Village. We rent a double room and double bathroom tentIt was amazing, maximum confort in a tent. Very close to the beach it was a sea full immersion. The camping has a parking but you can come also by train ( Capalbio Scalo Station), the camping has a taxi service( extra cost) that you can book. We had beautiful and tasty dinner at the camping. The restaurant Il Geco is a cosy place. The menu is simple but with very good choice ( meat, fish and pizza). Everything homemade, tasty and with good price.

We loved everything about it basically. Lovely family lodge (glamping) Great location near the beach. Lovely staff. Restaurant was overpriced of what you get. It was not that great. But other than that we had a great time.

We stayed with our family in a lodge tent, which should have had seaview. We checked before if this was the case, but we were told ''no worries'. Upon arrival we could hardly see the sea from our tent, but we paid a lot of money for this. When I asked for a solution at the reception I was yelled at, could a 'cazzo', a liar and they said I could go if I didn't like it (of course wthout refund...). The camping itself is overpriced, the beach and sea are the main plus points, but you can get this everywhere... I would never recommend this camping because of the price, very rude staff and poorly equipped tents.

Great location. Camping spots with a lot of privacy. The tent spots are cut out off the original and dense dune vegetation, which makes it feel like you are camping somewhere in the wild in the dunes, very magical. It's a pity that for simple camping it is really overpriced. For me and my partner, a little tent, no electricity (we like camping back to basics), we were charged no less than €52,- per night. To compare: We stayed in a hostel in the old centre of Florence for less than that. This will definitely scare off those who enjoy "natural camping", and that is too bad because the campsite is ideal for this kind of visitors. Because of this we shortened our stay at il campeggio di capalbio drastically. I would say that (in the high season) a simple tentspot on a campsite like this should not be priced over €35,- max per night.

I arrived here planning to stay for one night and ended up staying for three. I've stayed in a lot of campsites in Italy and this is one of my favourites. It was certainly my favourite among several I stayed at along the Tuscan coast. If you are in a tent you'll particularly enjoy the pitches in small clearings in the maquis near the beach: you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves on the beach. The owners seem to be investing a lot of money (and care) in upgrading and improving the facilities. The restaurant is very good. This would be a great area to stay with lots to see within reasonable travel distance.

“Detox holiday by the sea” This is what they write on their website, it's a shame that when Saturday and Sunday evenings arrive the disco music goes wild. Yet they don't give you television, wi-fi, lights along the road to be in contact with nature! It's a Glamping that pays handsomely but doesn't live up to the expectations of those who aspire to a holiday away from deafening sounds!

We went on a Tuscany/Umbria bike tour with a small tent. I don't want to say much more here, as we are still in shock, but one thing has to be said: the price for 2 people with a small tent was 60 euros. When I asked where this high price came from, I was told that at other campsites the toilets aren't cleaned either, but at ours they are. So, to sum up: everything is dirty and old, unfriendly owner, pitch is a disaster, sanitary facilities stink, noise on the site until 1 a.m. The mini market is more than ridiculous. We ordered pizza, waited an hour and we were forgotten. Here too, outrageous prices, which we have not seen anywhere else in Tuscany. The entrance area was very repulsive. Despite having a certain key, the shower only had cold water. Some of the large tents on the beach were run down and the torn walls had been patched up. We can make a judgement, as we have now visited 570 campsites on our bike tours. This was by far the worst and we cannot understand the ADAC, which rates such a place quite well.

The bungalow is actually a mobile home paid €150 per night. As soon as we entered there was a very bad smell, so much so that we had to wait for maintenance and the operators intervened on the drain. There are no mosquito nets, so the air conditioner paid for €5 a day becomes essential. Practically the spaces of a camper and without a bidet! The gate which, by reading the license plate, was supposed to open, did not work in 2 situations, we waited for the first car to which it opened. There are accesses to the beach with gates, even in this case you need luck or you have to find some trick. Fortunately, the courtesy of the operators, the beach and the sea still allowed us to spend 2 pleasant days.
