After few kilometres by a bit bumpy road, right by the western side of the river Mekong, in a small village, is this well maintained lovely hotel. We were welcomed and checked in easily and most friendly. Our room on the first floor was simple, but spacious and comfortable wirh nice views from the balcony. Furniture were quite worn but...

Comfortable rooms with all necessary facilities. Strangely cheaper rooms have the best views? Breakfast good but our other meals we have had at the sister hotel restauarant just up the road. Much less formal and food great.

Lovely hotel right on the river. Comfortable room. All rooms look over the pool and Mekong. Breakfast adequate but limited. Not a lot to do. Dolphin watching close by, waterfalls and quiet roads to cycle on.

If you happen to spend some days in the peaceful Don Khong island, I would highly recommend you the Arena Po Resort where we stayed 3 nights during our visit to 4000 island in August 2016. The location is beautiful, just 10' walk after the main peer towards north within a peaceful nature but with also a good choice of...

Staff was wonderfully attentive and communicated with us regularly as we prepared for our arrival. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Delicious breakfast overlooking the Mekong is a great way to start the day. Dinner was also enjoyable! Another big advantage here is the pool: it gets pretty hot in Southern Laos, especially in April, so the pool was a bit...

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in March 2016. It took 3 hours to travel from Pakse. A 30 min stop over on the main highway and we were picked up by the island beer & water delivery truck. A pleasant drive over the new bridge and the hotel is situated approx 1 mile on the island as the...

This is a hotel nicely situated by the Mekong. During our 8 day tour of Laos this was the worst breakfasts of our trip. We had two nights here. A very restricted choice and rubbery eggs; not a lot more to be said. It was especially disappointing because the evening meals were freshly prepared and were good, though some of...

Getting to this hotel from Pakse is some journey....3+ hours south using the recently built highway until the new bridge across the Mekong river is crossed. A mile or so driving along a potholed local road, which follows the rive bank and the Pon Arena Hotel is reached. My room had direct access to the small infinity swimming pool...the first...

We decided to stay here for one night as a break from cheap backpacking hostels. On arrival we were blown away by how clean everything appeared and the size of our room. The bed was super comfy and there was a proper shower/bath combo. We really enjoyed swimming in the cool pool and looking out over the Mekong. Everything would...

The hotel made an error and placed us in a non-river view room. Due to other bookings they could not move us into the room which we had reserved. They apologized. They moved us the next day to a room of our choice. They gave us an excellent free dinner with drinks. Mistakes happen and when they are corrected, we...
