Our lodge was Rosemoor 9. It was beautifully renovated. It was so clean when we arrived and totally ready for us. We had clear instructions and everything we needed. The kitchen was well set up. We loved the space, though we spent most of our time out exploring. The lodge is quite remote, which we loved!

The bungalow was really comfortable and nicely decorated. Although you are 7 minutes away from the nearest town, by car, you will get a very welcoming place. We were four people in the bungalow, with enough space for everyone and small balcony great for the evening.

Me and my family stayed here for two nights as we wanted to travel around Highlands and Isle of Skye. The cabin was amazing! Once we entered it we suddenly felt like at home. It was very cosy, clean and had everything we needed! The scenery from our lodge was amazing as we could see a bit of Loch Ness... More

An introverts paradise! Very quiet and peaceful location, if walking is your thing, you are very close to some fabulous walks. The cabin was well kept, clean, and had everything required for a short stay, loved sitting out on balcony in the evenings just listening to the breeze, would definitely recommend to those seeking peace and quiet.

The lodge is cosy but it wasn't clean when we arrive (ground, fridge). In the kitchen, there is no shelf to store enough food, not enough accessories. It would be desirable to add a curtain to hide out of the bathroom just in front of the glazed entrance door and path. We have not met the owners during our stay

What an amazing location. Out of the way but near to the local town should you need it. So peaceful and quiet. The lodge was lovely and cosy, very clean and well equipped. It's a must visit if you're looking for somewhere away from it all. The owners are on hand if you need anything. Lots of walks nearby and... More

Peaceful and tranquil and the odd animal wondering around, we saw deers run by our cabin so graceful and unexpected. Worth journey for the views. Well stocked cabin recently refurbished. Only down side was our shower not working after 2 uses and the twin rooms door jamming, as we were only on a short visit the shower was not a... More

We loved it here. It's so remote and peaceful. The lodge was very comfortable, clean, and like brand new. The little wood burning stove was perfect for heating. The beds were comfortable. It was great to unplug. We didn't bother even trying the wifi. We visited the Eilean Donan castle which was a beautiful 1.5 hour drive away. Our only... More

Set in a perfect location - quiet, yet a great base for touring Loch Ness and beyond - these lodges are ideal and offer superb value for money. Comfortable beds, lovely hot showers and a well-equipped kitchen (except they could maybe purchase some dinner plates, small sideplates not adequate for meals!). There was WiFi available but it didn't work... thankfully... More

Hi Martin, Thanks so much for taking the time to give your feedback and thoughts - glad you found the lodges a good base and good value. The hike up "Big Bertha" (Meall Fuar-Mhonaidh) is one of our favourite things do - you're right, the view is fantastic! Surprised to hear about the dinner plates, since all lodges were equipped... This is a true place of beauty, set up in the hills with spectacular views. I first visited for 5 days in 2014, so when I needed a last min place to stay for 2 nights this was my first thought. However it has been bought over by new owners, and whilst they have made some welcome upgrades and changes... More

Hi Tracey, Thanks for your feedback - so pleased to hear you love the location of Ancarraig Lodges as much as we do. As you rightly say, we have made a lot of changes since we purchased the site at the end of 2015 - some very major and some more minor, but all contributing to the overall quality of... More
