Very pleasant stay, great friendly staff, super clean, even during the current construction season when renovations are in full swing. Staff take the time to clean up after the contractors and maintain a well respected atmosphere and very secure. . Very centrally located to town but not to noisy. Great food and shopping nearby and close the the grocery store... More

Great spot in the middle of the bay. Most rooms have views of the ocean and a small balcony with a kitchenette and seating. Visited during shoulder season so the hotel was mostly empty. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean! Nice stay.

Hotel Puesta del Sol has been our go-to hotel here for many years. Each time we return, we receive a warm welcome from the staff and other returning guests – many fellow Canadians from BC. One of the delights in coming here is seeing the improvements to the hotel that have been made since our last visit. This is such... More

Certainly one of the nicest If not the nicest $50 beach front hotels I have stayed at. Right in town on the great melaque beach. Clean affordable convenient location. There is some wave noise but hey if you don't like the sound of the ocean than don't go to the ocean

I probably should not be doing this as it difficult to book here in the high season. Fortunately I have some seniority. I have been going to this hotel for about 7 years now. Some have been visiting for over 25 years. The rooms are basic hotel rooms; most have two double beds and a TV (only two english channels... More

Great place to stay in Melaque, right on the beach, walk all over town, inexpensive busses take you anywhere you want to go. Rooms are adequate, nothing fancy, small kitchenette on balcony. It can be noisy from other guests having fun. I can't wait to go back.

We spend 4 night here last week (March, 2015). The location is excellent! The hotel is right on the water backing onto the main street, with lots of restaurants. The pool was very good. The service good. The room are older, clean and on the small size. The bathroom was small with limited hot water. We had a mini kitchen... More

My brother stayed in this hotel numerous times and recommended I come with him on vacation. It is right on the ocean with a wonderful view from the outside porch/kitchen. The rooms have great air-conditioning, ceiling fans, television and wifi. (The wifi is dicey in some rooms but always available in the palapa seating area). The kitchen area is nice... More

The room was clean and pleasant and the bed comfortable. It was on the first floor facing the beach -number112. The breezeway outside the door bordered on party central and sound echoed off all the hard surfaces. We complained to the front desk but we're told they would quieten at 11pm. Sleep was difficult to put it mildly. We recommend... More
